The nostalgia was great but now we are getting excited over timed DLC and games that may not even release in the next couple of years?
It was sh1tty when Microsoft did it and is still sh1tty when Sony does it.
Bethesda had an excellent conference along with Microsoft. Putting Sony ahead of either is just showing how bass-ackwards gamers are getting with their priorities.
We need to condemn these stupid practices, not applaud.
Now THIS is how you do new IPs! Fantastic!
@Dante
Yeah, and they deserved it but it doesn't forgive Sony for mentioning it.
Project cars? Wii U owners????
I want to go back to this game but I just can't....I fired up house of wolves for about 20 minutes and then immediately went back to Witcher 3....I'm guessing $35 for this expansion.
If Microsoft would of mentioned 10 seconds of TV, they would of been crucified but of course the Sony fanboys are defending it now.
Kinda awkward to tease this game at your conference and then basically tell everyone "if you want this game, you pay for it" meanwhile moneyhatting call of duty and Destiny. Timed DLC is so dumb. Could of just funded this game outright.
My ears and eyes bled when they started talking about TV services....they had the worst of Microsoft's bad practices in their conference and now fanboys and girls on Sony's side are praising it. Unbelievable.
I feel like Sony adopted the worst of Microsoft in this conference with all the exclusive 3rd party BS. For f**ks sake, they actually talked about TV, I couldn't believe it.
I was hoping for more from Sony. FF7 is great but its most likely not even exclusive.
Ugh!, kinda disappointed it's not a collection but otherwise a fantastic showing from MS. I hope Sony brings their A-game as well!
I'm usually torn on remasters but I will probably get this and God of War 3 later when they hit the sales.
$20 sounds fair to me.
I believe the immense sales has more to do with the last generation dragging on so long more so than the X1 and PS4 being so much better than their predecessors.
Just my opinion but I hope this gen is done in 5-6 years. They use PC architecture, there is no reason for them not to have backwards compatibility in the next systems. Also, both systems really need to beef-up in the specs dept. if they want to pursue legit VR tech for AAA games.
I'm guessing a reveal trailer, no gameplay, with a release window Spring 2016. MS needs to release some AAA games outside of the holiday season.......
Just my opinion but I don't believe Half-life 3 should ever release. It will never live-up to the expectations that people have been building up for the last decade.
Want proof? Just look at the reactions people had over The Witcher 3's "downgrade" even though it's one of the finest games ever made or the recent reveal of Fallout 4 and how "it doesn't look good enough" even though that game will be most likely be in contention for GOTY. ...
Agreed, lol.
For real, getting so tired of all of this. BOTH systems will see graphical improvements through their life-cycles and there will forever remain that gap as the hardware is not changing.
Most games today can't seems to release without a slew of issues (mostly graphical) anyways. Even if they are improved as a result of DirectX or Vulcan or ICE team or whatever the catchy names are these days, we won't even be able to enjoy it for months.
I do have a problem with the wind myself. It's just so strange to see the the trees acting a like a tornado is coming and no one cares or there's no leaves being torn from the limbs or the water is calm during.....
It also makes Geralt's hair whip around even when you are inside a building. Its not THAT big of a deal but it definitely messes with the immersion a bit.
Also, I hope we can tweak the color saturation as well. it's a little muc...
Partnership with Steam and native support on an Xbox one?
That would be a killer feature to let people play an entire PC library on the console.
I already have a GTX980-based rig but that would be right nice for those who don't want to build one.
Totally agree. I don't mind tastefull remasters and this isn't one of them.
Either needs to be all games or at least include a bunch of new content such as Master Chief Collection or Kingdom Hearts Remix.
Wisconsin here and I am currently down. *sad face*
Like spend it on funding Shenmue 3 instead of telling gamers to? lol
