The guy probably got caught with ridiculous charges on his credit card bill by his wife and now he's blaming Sony.
And the anonymous group did not collectively select this chap to represent them.
People are getting worked up over nothing. Check your credit card statements twice a month, which you should already be doing before any of this happened.
What worries me most: if Sony beefs up its network infrastructure, how will it make up for its costs? I am very very worried that PSN will require paid subscription sooner or later. If this were to happen, these hackers have really F'ed it up for everyone.
A few points after reading the article:
-Is ID theft that easy without your social security number (or equivalent in your country)? Sony has never asked us to submit our social security numbers.
-Why is he demanding monetary compensation? Has he lost any money? If it's possible to have identity theft without social security, I can understand wanting free credit report, but monetary compensation?? What a greedy mofo!
I highly doubt Deus Ex will be replacing MGS anytime soon. Although the Deus Ex trailer looked GREAT, the gameplay showcased so far looked pretty boring.
We have companies like EA/Activision who seem to pump out shooters every few months, then we have Ubisoft who won't announce a shooter in years. I WANT MY NEXT RAINBOW SIX!
LET'S ALL HIT THE STRIPCLUBS! If our significant others find the outrageous charges on our credit card statement, we can say our info was stolen off of Sony's databases!
Not sure what you are talking about. Bad Company 2 on each console has about at most 10k players playing at a time, 1 year after the game was released. MW2 had 300,000 players on each console playing at a time, one year after release.
I never understood why people love BF3 so much and hate COD so much or vice versa. I feel like they're two entirely different types of FPS.
You can't rent new games when steam goes under maintenance. But you can still rent new games with physical media.
David Jaffe makes fun games. I loved Calling All Cars.
I have a 360. It's my second one actually after the first RROD'ed. But my live subscription ended months ago. I am so tempted to renew it but it's sort of dry right now in terms of 360 exclusives.
I'm interested in this game but I just hope it provides variety in atmosphere and environment. So far every photo or video of this game showed the same environment.
This article is a total fail. If you read the compared statements by Microsoft vs Sony, they state the same facts except Microsoft is sucking your d!ck.
I don't get why PS3 owners get defensive whenever cross game chat comes up. It's a nice feature to have and I would welcome it, but it's also not absolutely necessary like diehard 360 owners make it out to be. The people here who argue against cross game chat are making really invalid points. If you can't stand hearing someone's voice while you're playing a game, why would you join their chat room in the first place? It's not like you are forced to use it if the fe...
Mine went down Tue night last week. Right now it's Monday evening for me, so it's pretty close to 6 days.
I honestly think Sony is just taking it chill this holiday break. They'll fix the problem as soon as vacation is over on Monday.
The best FPS ever released on PSN/Live was Battlefield 1943.
You guys who rave about digital distribution apparently haven't been reading the news about PSN being shut down for at least two days...
At least I can still drive to blockbuster and rent games while PSN is still down.
The characters are much more balanced in MK (maybe the only exception is Kratos at the moment) than MvC3. I also feel that MvC3 is too random with the X factor involved. Every SF4 tournament had a pretty consistent top 16 roster. With MvC3, the list fluctuates way too much due to the randomness in the game. So far, MK feels a lot less random than MvC3.
