Racing games are so much better with a wheel.
This article is actually missing several off-shoot GT games in the franchise.
I'm pointing out the obvious by saying this, but it's not Ubisoft's fault if they don't have enough room on the disc. That belongs to the console that WON'T support a high capacity format.
I actually thought Shift 1 was bland. It wasn't a racing sim completely nor an arcade racer completely. The identity crisis made the game sorta boring.
Really? I personally preferred this user-made trailer instead of the one in the article:

Apparently you didn't play Shift in 09. It wasnt a great sim, but it tried to be with some arcade-ish features. Reminded me a lot of Grid.
Yup. EA probably shat a brick when GT5's release date was confirmed.
Square turned to shit ever since the merge with Enix.
My goodness, does it bother people that they can't place a flower on the dash of 1000+ cars?
Yeah developers are finally realizing how shitty the unreal engine is for this generation.
I'm with Blaze, I'd rather see Rainbow Six than Ghost Recon. There's a much larger fanbase/community for Rainbow Six than Ghost Recon. Ppl are still playing RB6 games online, while hardly anybody plays any of the Ghost Recon games.
The reviews better not knock GT5 down for the damage modeling. Has anybody seen Forza 3's damage modeling? It was paint chipping at most but I have a feeling everyone will be a lot harsher toward GT5.
You'd have to be pretty stupid to own a PS3 and not buy GT5.
I can't justify buying two racers within a week for total of $120. GT5 all the way.
I just canceled my NFS Hot Pursuit pre-order. I felt really bad doing so because I honestly wanted the game but cannot justify buying two racers within a week apart. And between the two, I'd pick GT5 any day. I feel bad for Criterion Games though since all the reviews are suggesting that this is the best NFS game in the franchise so far. And it seemed that Criterion really did put a lot of innovative thought in the competition of the game.
Oh well, too bad. It's GT5. ...
I feel sorry for the guy who said Forza 3 is better than GT5 because it has cockpit view of the Veyron (at the cost of 631 cars lol)...
I feel like Treyarch has never been able to do anything successful on their own. It seems like they just leech off of Infinity Ward (or what was left).
You're telling me that sound is equally important as gameplay? Thank God IGN doesn't average their individual scores for the overall score.
At least it has hood view.
For some reason I always preferred hood view over cockpit view. I always felt that the cockpit view crowded too much visual space for the TV, which isn't exactly realistic. But have more options for everyone is always nice, but I guess I am personally unaffected by the lack of cockpit view. At least NFS Hot Pursuit has hood view (shown in the IGN video review).
Sorry, it doesn't allow manual transmission and no wheel support. Glad I canceled the pre-order and ordered GT5 instead.
