So you want Shadow of the Tomb Raider to suck?
RotTR was fantastic! I expect Shadow of the Tomb Raider to raise the bar again. Hopefully they can get some interesting side characters in there this time, but as long as they keep the gameplay great I'll be happy!

The difference is that Sea of Thieves is actually fun and features full MP.
Sea of Thieves would be like NMS if your only option was to sail solo and not run into any other players. And the only thing you could do was go to islands and look at animals.

But at launch there was crap to do in NMS besides fly around and look at crap procedural generated planets and animals and one gun...
There are instances of good natured pirates as well, but you can't assume everyone will act the same.
I'd say within a couple weeks there will be a universe sign of a friendly pirate. Like doing a certain emote or playing a certain instrument. But there is still always the risk of mutiny. Tis' the pirate life.

Everyone is on a level playing field... the only difference will be in individual skill.

So you leveled up all the merchants to level 5 so you can get missions from the mysterious stranger? You became pirate legend and already did the High Level end game missions? You became Captain Legend and got the key to the completely hidden area that they haven't talked about, but which was in the open beta that no one found? You got your Captain Legend boat?

Sounds like a rendering glitch, or perhaps they had an issue with the body that came up before launch that they are working on. I can't imagine that is their end goal of only having tentacles coming out of the sea.
later missions increase in difficulty as far as trying to find the X and how much opposition there will be on the island from skeletons and such. the initiation missions re obviously going to be fairly easy..

To become pirate and then captain legend. Once that happens high level missions are unlocked for you. there is a secret place you unlock by becoming a captain legend that they haven't even talked about. I have even found a mysterious stranger who will start giving you other missions once you reach level 5 in each merchant... there is plenty to keep going for besides the fact that the game is just fun to play.

Well RotTR had a LOT more tomb raiding in it, especially compared to the first reboot.
