Haha I tried telling you guys it was only ship combat.
There is a reason all sonys big titles are becoming Third Person over the shoulder action adventures. They lend better to driving a connection with that character in the world and not so much the player.
In fact that seems to be a big push in the industry of late anyway. Emotional stories, deep stories for your main character.
@UCForce
Yes how dare Kait be a bit whiney after someone obviously important to her died...
Like you would care about anything Gears of War related anyway haha
I mean Nioh 2 was a surprise. Wasn't expecting a sequel announcement yet, but I don't mind, I freaking love Nioh
Oh so in other racers there is all of a sudden a snow storm that will change a lake to ice that opens up different kind of races?
These seasons aren't just a random shower of rain during a single race. Each season will effectively change the races, how you race, the cars you use etc.
Looked fantastic to me, the gameplay snippets in between looked great.
Yes, how dare people enjoy the best console FPS (halo), one of the top third person cover shooters (gears), the best racing games (forza MS and Horizon), one if the best platforms (ori), creative games (sunset overdrive, Quantum Break), survival games (state of decay 2), games fun with friends (Sea of Thieves), also the best rental service (GamePass), features (crossplay, play anywhere)...
How could anyone like those things.
Tomb raider has the better and more varied gameplay mechanics however.
That Xbox tweet is classic
Nioh 2 was a great surprise for me. Also seeing how amazing the Ghost of Tsushima gameplay was a surprise and relief that it looks so amazing. Spider-Man is still looking amazing.
But that was about all that stood out to me.
If Crackdown 3 has any chance of gaining peoples trust back it needs a solid showing at Gamescom. I'd also like to see Battletoads gameplay there also.
That whole gameplay section came off extremely scripted, but its understandable to want to show the game off as best you can.
My one gripe with Skull & Bones is that you can't actually get off your boat. It's strictly a sailing sim which I'm not sure how fun that will be in the long run, but we will see.
@NewMonday
Lionhead failed because of Molyneux and then the Fable Legends game was just a dud. And RARE's talent was already leaving when they were about to be bought by Activision. MS actually out bid Activision to buy RARE, but the talent were already looking elsewhere. But anyway, what have those Ex RARE guys been doing lately? They made, what? Yooka-Laylee which wasn't all that great,
Chris Seavor studio was making a Wii U/3DS game that I nev...
I hope it doesn't loose its instenseness by moving to more open areas. That one locust with the dual clubs was awesome looking. Hopefully there is just open hub areas while most missions will stay more linear and focused.
Does seem like they are going to try and grab some of that God of War style though.
A handful of the games we already saw or knew about. The Quiet Man and the Platinum game are cool announcements though.
Really bummed they didn't show FF7 or the Avengers project...
Well besides Keith David's sultry voice... this was a dud. Most of that we already saw
They'll just own the whole industry!
I only count 2 that were in their pocket. We Happy Few was only on Xbox because it has a preview program.
All that was is a facade to make it look like he was "walking through" it was just a nice cinematic transition for going from the market to stock up, to the boat. There was no one actually controlling the character walking outside.
