One thing I think PS4 is lacking is a good exclusive competitive game. UC4 MP is fun for a romp, maybe The Last of Us 2 will bring a competitive edge to the MP, but as of now I think PS4 only has Firewall. It's not much of a pick up and play since you need to be in PSVR.

That's the problem. These people don't want to take their time with it, they want to rush through story missions. I don't know many RPG's that allow you to just pummel through main missions WITHOUT eventually hitting a level gap or difficulty spike.
I don't think they are going to replace it with anything. Phil said he wants to support their teams with more resources and longer dev times if needed. Perhaps they're taking the extra year to just build a new engine to support the future of Forza moving forward.

If the delay means they're making a new engine for the next gen then I'm all for it. Much like Halo taking a longer development cycle so they can work on a brand new engine for the upcoming gen.
Delays for these reasons are welcome. Delays like Crackdown are what you worry about.

The person who wrote this said exactly that. He doesn't have time to sink 15 hours into the game before he unlocks all the cool stuff. So he took the easy route and bought the XP boost. This person right here is the target for this MT. Ya'll wonder why companies keep putting MT's into their games? Because of this dumb author right here. "I don't have time to play an RPG and do the required level ups to advanced so I'll buy the XP boost to make it quicker".

On what basis is your statement on? What reviewers or evidence show that they purposely lowered XP earned to make you want to buy the XP boost?

I mean... most RPG's don't start getting really good until that mark. Sometimes even after 15 hours. Odyssey is trying to be more RPG as seen by the seeds they planted in Origins. This one is even more so RPG oriented. So 15 hours to level up, get gear, unlock better moves etc. isn't all that insane.
I think most people are just use to Assassin Creed games that let you assassinate any enemy readily pretty much right out the gate so this ...
Probably for Zombie mode surprises I'd guess
Unless I'm incorrect here... there are no MT's in Forza Horizon 4 in any capacity.
