The sad thing is that if Nintendo released their games on other hardware, they'd see a lot of money from me. I like Nintendo games but I hate their hardware, the lack of power, crappy online services and reliance on gimmicks drive me away. Their games are good though, even though they only release one worthwhile game per year (which doesn't make their consoles worth owning for me personally).
A lot of people I know are exactly the same as well, they would happily buy ...
Woo yeah! A box! Gotta get people coughing up money for preorders and the usual overpriced junk that they chuck into these things :D
I think it's pretty funny to be honest, you'd see desperate fanboys hyping up "Black Tusk 2014 game" without knowing anything about it, and now it turns out that it never even existed and they're just being assigned the Gears of War IP. So many people get duped by the hype in this industry.
This reminds me of when Microsoft formed a brand new studio to take over the Halo franchise, and we got the absolute mess that is Halo 4. Now they're doing it again with the Gears of War franchise? They never learn.
@Septic
Exactly, and the new KI was terrible just like expected when looking at all the bad games the developer had previously made.
If you disagree then it's a difference of opinion of course, but I've yet to see my skepticism fail me when it comes to things like this, and my aversion to being whipped-up amongst the typical PR hype has thankfully allowed me to avoid some really bad games.
It's the same developer as Crackdown 2, so I wouldn't bother getting excited considering the high probability that the game will be awful if they're making it.
Gears of War 3 on PC would be amazing, depending on how the scene around the game formed. If people were setting up dedicated servers, put out a balance patch (fix sawn-off and retro lancer) and then everybody could get custom maps working (UnrealEngine is easy, but the game being emulated might make things really difficult) it would be great.
The games do speak for themselves, by running at higher resolutions and framerates on PS4. Can't argue with fact :D
Hahaha, you're not fooling anyone. The difference between 1080p/720p and 60fps/30fps is night and day, don't be a chump.
Well Xbox One only has 32MB eSRAM, and that's just not enough to comfortably handle 1080p. Combine that with a GPU that's drastically weaker than the PS4's and that's why you have so many multiplatform games looking and running much better on PS4.
Ryan MmCaffrey is head of IGN's Xbox team, of course he's going to try his absolute hardest to downplay Microsoft's failures.
Remember people, this is the same guy that told us that Halo 4 is the best game in the series. His credibility is non-existent, to the point where even his colleagues have questioned his honesty.
I hope they have enough content to justify this being a full-priced game. If it launches with only a small selection of maps then they can get screwed.
Why would you think Uncharted 4 will be out in 2014 when TLOU came out a year ago and Naughty Dog takes at least two years to develop each game? Considering they're transitioning to new hardware (PS3 to PS4) it could take even longer. Seems pretty silly to get peoples hopes up like that, since I can't realistically see the game launching until the end of 2015 at the earliest.
Yup, Microsoft doesn't think twice about breaking the law, and they've been in court over it before. Hopefully this one goes to court as well and they get fined plenty of money for it.
Titans are on a timer, newbies will get one even if they don't get a single kill.
I'm not surprised they don't want anything leaking, the game looks hideous, like it's running on a PS2 or something. I wonder if this will have the same graphics downgrade that Forza 5 had? I guess the rumors of Respawn struggling with Xbox One hardware were true.
Yeah you're right, the leading financial firm JP Morgan was so upset about the supposed great success Nintendo had over the holidays that they decided to take matters into their own hands and downgrade Nintendo's rating to teach them a lesson.
Good job on exposing this conspiracy, diepdiep the brony.
How can a game still be in Alpha two months before release? Are they going to delay launch by a year?
I wonder how those lawsuits against them are going :D
Nintendo never learns. If they want their next console to share architecture with a handheld, they were be completely outclassed by Sony/Microsoft yet again.
It's funny how stubborn they are though, rather watch their business fail than do the smart thing and adapt.
