The reason is simple: this generation had NO backwards compatibility whatsoever and also there were LOTS of awesome games in the last generation.

Oh, so I guess now all preview, alphas, and beta are perfectly indicative of a future masterpiece??? Has everyone suddenly and magically forgot so many RECENT PS4 fiascos? Do I really need to list them??
Also I'm never saying that reviews are perfect, far from it, but I want different opinions of someone who has actually played a final version of the game. I also watch game videos and such. I even rent games before I buy them when I'm completely sure.

Bloodborne looks awesome, but I'm still gonna wait for reviews. IF the reviews are below average I will pickup Dark Souls 2 in less than a heartbeat.

Ubisoft (now with their "anonymous devs" PR) is adamant in shooting themselves in their feet, kneecaps, and guts. It's like knowing the Titanic is headed for an iceberg and then going full speed thinking that their 'unsinkable' ship will magically remain afloat.
Pathetic, and of course I'm not buying either the PR nor the game.
Thank God we have excellent of better games in the present and future.

Bought the game and returned it after trying four months to finish it...
I had loved the other iterations of the franchise.
To each his own... But Devil May Cry had a certain look and feel, and I understand that they wanted to try a new spin, but imho all they made was a good game but a bad Devil May Cry game.
Anyway, I agree with this review.
