Games already look fantastic and I think there is enough umph left in teh PS3 and 360 to last 4-5 more years. Many PC games don't look as good as console games right now unless you want to spend some serious $$$ on a big gaming rig.

Nintendo actually surprised me this year by showing some games people actually care about. The only thing that lets me down with them is that they are always the 500th or 600th version of a franchise I've been playing since 1985. WHERE ARE THE NEW IP's Nintendo? 3DS was their strongest announcement.
Sony was the group that brought the most games though. It was gaming bombardment! The Portal and Twisted Metal bombs, the GT5 release date, inFamous 2, KZ3, Dead Sp...
Playstation especially on the gaming front.

While I grew up loving Nintendo and was raised on NES/SNES, Nintendo has NOTHING NEW. How many times will Nintendo fall back on these old franchises instead of pushing the envelope wit new IP's?
I liked that they finally re-visited Kid Icarus because at least that franchise hasn't been beaten like a dead horse the way Mario, Zelda, and Metroid has.
Nintendo's best showing was the 3DS and that's a freakin' handheld.

And while Bad Company is an excellent game, Medal of Honor has some name recognition from being so popular for a lot of gamers from years past. Hopefully this will give COD some competition and in turn make the COD product improve instead of being basically the same thing since MW with new skins, perks, and now killstreaks.
I was on the fence about MoH but now I may be leaning closer to a day one buy.
Rising doesn't feel like metal gear at all. It looks like a hack and slash action game. Hopefully there are more stealth aspects to it because with a character like Raiden it could be a great new story line in Metal Gear.
This Rising looks more like Ninja Gaiden Sigma when it should be more like Tenchu....or....more like Metal Gear.
... that it doesn't feel like we need new systems yet and were are almost 4 years into PS3's life and almost 5 years into 360's life.
The systems (especially PS3 with Blu Ray) have stood the test of time with a world where technology changes at such a rapid pace.
I think we could go another 3-4 years before we start talking another gen of consoles.
Plus he makes this odd comment about the PS3 :

The PS3 does more out of the box than any other system ever (other than a PC, of course)...Blu Ray, DVD, Ba...

Quantity doesn't equal quality. If it does, a Toyota Corolla is a much superior car to a BMW 3 series.
I think it is really important for MS to keep the Xbox brand. People recognize with Xbox like they do Playstation or Nintendo.
If they change the name, they could find themselves fighting for the market share they have worked so hard to obtain. Especially if a company like Apple, or someone, also releases a console.
Then you would have the old standbys Sony Playstation and Nintendo on the market and a "new" MS product with potential other comp...

It was kind of lame that MS opened with Multiplayer DLC. Nintendo opened with a great looking new Zelda game which their fans are drooling for. Sony busted out GT5.
MS has so many great games to showcase but like Activision are banking heavily on the Guitar Hero of shooters. Regurgitated yearly gameplay that hasn't changed since 2007's MW.
Fable 3 would have been a great opening. OR .... wait for it . . . A NEW IP!
