MW2 really turned me off to COD. The game has turned into an FPS in which no one uses RIFLES! GL's, RPG's, Shotguns, Akimbo + Marathon + Lightweight, etc. etc.
MW2 has become more annoying than anything else. If they charge for online there is no way I'm buying Black Ops. I'll Gamefly it for the single player campaign and be done.
Medal of Honor is looking better and better. Maybe its time to say goodbye to COD.

Being a Playstation person primarily I like the direction that Bungie went in with Reach. I like the anonimity of being part of a small unit in a big war instead of being so centered around Master Chief.
Reach looks cool.
No one considers and iphone or itouch a real "gaming" device. To even compare the quality of games to that of a DS or PSP is a farce. Only Apple fanboys would even argue that Apple devices are competing against DS and PSP.
And Apple fanboys are the idiots overpaying for underperforming machines. HTC EVO>iphone4.

I one pic the PS3 has the motion blur (Nariko wannabe running down the hall) where the 360 doesn't.
In another pic the 360 version has motion blur (Male main character jumping near a sphere in the foreground) and the PS3 doesn't.
The graphics look equally sharp and colorful. Nice job Ninja Theory.

I remember MK on Sega Genesis. Unreal at the time. Then MK2, that was the first night I ever played all night until the sun came up!

Hours played does not quantify how great a game is.
I also loved Fallout 3 and put a great deal of time into it, but it pails in comparison of overall experience and HOLY $H!TB@ll$ I CAN"T BELIEVE THIS GAME factor. God of War 3's 8-10 hours is more exciting and impressive than the 70+ hours I put into Fallout 3.

But sales are everything. If 2K sold as much as Madden they could have afforded to bid on and carry the NFL license. EA and Madden sold more games = money = able to buy exclusivity rights.
Sales are everything to devs and publishers.
It has just about all been done. And the best stories and franchises are well established and do what they do very well (Mario, Zelda, Metal Gear, Halo, God of War, Gran Turismo, GTA, etc. etc.).
Too many games mimick what other great franchises have already established which leaves you with a "I've seen this before" feeling with many new games. Its really hard to have a fresh new experience now a days.

Just like Halo, COD, Guitar Hero, NBA games and every other annual game get flack just for getting released so often.
Nobody really bought NFL 2K the way it is romanticized about in online forums. Maybe if everyone that has a hard on for 2K sports games actually bought them they would have sold enough copies to keep the license instead of having luke warm sales.
Because all it sounds like to me is a bunch of people saying stereotypical things that make it seem like you have a clue but really haven't even bought or played the game beyond the demo.
Madden 11 is the best Madden this gen and the best Madden since the PS2 and Xbox days. Its a drastic improvement over last year and is once again fun instead of trying each year to implement a new feature so people like you (even though you aren't buying it) don't call it a $6...

Multiplayer or no multiplayer shots. If that is really what Reach is looking like than Bungie has issues. They should be able to have a really excellent looking game by now while incorporating all the great gameplay that makes Halo so great.
Those graphics are kind of sad actually.
Several MULTIplat games have better graphics than what we are seeing here. Not even several ... MANY multiplats that are over a year old have better graphics than this.

That game was magic. Arguably the most underated game this gen.

This is kind of fanboyish but thank God that PS3s come with HDDs and interchangable HDDs at that. If this game was on 360 can you imagine how many DVDs that would be!!!! LOL!!!

The difference of Blu Ray to DVD is like DVD to VHS.
Its amazing how many people will deny facts over and over again. The games cost exactly the same, why wouldn't you want them on a Blu Ray disc with so much more space?
