There was no way it could lift up to what people were billing it as. But is did have a good story and fun levels. The voice acting/script was lame but then again, not many FPS games are strong in that area.
Renting Movies/Games . . .sure. But I will only buy something that I can hold in my hand.
Digital distibution is the reason I haven't bought a PSPgo.
Kratos would have a harder time killing Solid Snake.
To platinum that games you would need months of gaming time.
I agree all of these games are hard to platinum (Wipeout and Demon's Souls probably being the hardest) but these authors have clearly never seen the trophey list for MLB The Show.
Is one of the most challenging and rewarding games I've ever played. Its toughness reminds me of those NES games that were so impossible they almost made you cry as a child.
Xbox 360 HAD TO release a year early.
PS3 would have mopped the floor and destroyed Xbox had they released at the same time. Xbox 360 has their market because they released early, probably too early.
While as I love capitalism and respect their ability to rush a shoddy product that could have used some R&D to the market (RROD, Disc Scratching, Errors, etc.), in the end it has cost them.
PS3 has proven its value much the way PS2 h...
...but I could really care less about it. I wind up turning off my mic during online gaming (especially on COD) because of all the sh!t-talking and childish behavior.
Cross game chat is something few PS3 owners even mention and one of the only things 360 fanboys cling to as a lone remaining arguing point against the PS3.
I'll take the best exclusives from the widest variety of genres with the best graphics over "chatting".

Modnation is awesome. What a blast. Every PS3 owner needs this game. Its so FUN!
There hasn't been a consistant flow of good games. They are coming out in buunches. GOW3, ME2, Heavy Rain cluster. Followed by Red Dead Redemption, Alan Wake, Modnation Cluster and NOTHING in between.
I just think the scheduling of the releases is more to blame than anything. When 3 or 4 awesome games come out within 2 weeks of each other, in today's (American) economy you are forced to make a choice. Not every body can buy 2 or 3 games at once.
Top 5 off the top of my head . . .
1) Nintendo NES - sure Atari was very popular but the NES took console gaming to the next level.
2) CPU MMO's and Online play - inspired online console gaming and brought on a genre of gaming that borders on obsession.
3) DOOM - you can say Halo, and it is a cornerstone of the FPS genre, but Doom did more for FPS games than any game I've seen. Doom did for FPS what Mario did for platforming. ...
Never has a game left me in such awe. The whole game was unbelievable and is an incredible end to Kratos' story.

All in all, GRAN TURISMO 5 will be my GOTY by year's end.

PS3 exclusives do rock, but they aren't making any 360 fan jealous. Just like 360 exclusive aren't making PS3 fans jealous.
I also would love to see the Earthworm Jim HD that is in the rumored section.
And of course the MW2 maps. I'm such a sucker. If all of my friends didn't play MW2 still I don't think I would get it. . . who cares its fun as he!!.
How is a level 70 person that has logged in 15 days but didn't prestige and less "sad", in your words, than a person who has 15 days in but is on the 8th prestige?
At least prestige modes give you something to keep playing for.
And at least people that prestige have some balls, the people I know that don't prestige don't want to lose their gund, etc. Talk about "sad".

Prestige mode should be based on how good a player is, not just how long they have played. By making it a time based prestige mode, there is no skill required . . . just sit there and play long enough and you'll get to the top prestige.
I'm pretty sure just about every PS3 owner had and probably still has their PS2. So if you don't have a BC PS3 just throw the game in your PS2.
I have a 60gb launch PS3 and a 250gb slim. I have only played Killzone right before KZ2 came out and I re-played GOW1 & 2 right before GOW3 came out.

I think that multiplats do so well on 360 because 360 lacks a strong exclusive lineup. PS3 has exclusive after exclusive which not waters down exclusives sales (Hmmmm, which to buy GOW3, HR, Modnation, the Show, etc...?) but all those exclusive also take away from multiplat sales.
I think 360 should focus more on new exclusive IP's than the multplat stuff they've been buying up (COD, GTA, etc.)

I am surprised by how much 360 fanboys were talking out their @$$ and didn't buy the game that was better than every other PS3 exclusive this year.
Maybe if it was an FPS it would have sold more.
