great, so there will be hard drive space for Digital Distribution.
This still doesn't compensate for the biggest problem which is lack of bandwidth. and that problem will not be solved for a long long time.
wow, out of all of the games, they picked Dead Rising as the Best game of the year?????
okay, i could of lived with blue dragon, but dead rising?
that game (in my opinion) was only fun for about 3 hours, and then i gave the controller back to my little brother and waited till i could get back to Oblivion
how do you disagree with that??????????
bluetooth supports 8 devices per bluetooth controller (however, one of those devices is itself) so therefore up to 7 exterior devices can connect, period......
i mean if this weren't true then sony would not of used bluetooth for the remote aswell. yes it can support up to 7 controllers at once. where is there anything here to disagree with?
Isn't TIME magazine the same magazine that made Hitler "Man of the Year" once? cause i'm pretty sure they did
the PS3 does support up to 7 bluetooth controllers at once. just none of the games support that number. don't blame sony on that one because they have no control over how many simultaneous players the developers plan for
I love how the video makes the statement about how sony does not care about the half-assed backwards compatibility of the PS3
yet they worked so hard to make sure that some 99% of the games worked on it. made me laugh.
The cost and construction of even a 1Gbps to every major residential area in just the US is unbelievable by 2010. you are talking about having to massively overhaul the entire PSTN for the first thing. and then next, you are talking about having to expect your cable company to run all brand new lines out of the goodness of their own pocketbooks. it is not going to happen anytime soon. Sorry to burst your hopes and dreams there. but it isn't.
Even if Lamda Rail or I2 were ...
if you think that 100Gbps internet is coming by 2010, then you have a lot brighter outlook on the future then what is being talking about right now at the Internet2 Conference in Chicago
Which would make MS and the 360 the Middle east? I can see that. so what you are saying is that 360 fans are like Muslim extremists who would rather create conflict based purely upon personally held beliefs and ideas and hatred for those who refuse to convert, instead of turning their focus to their own problems in an attempt to compete on the the world market
I think it is mislabeled.
It isn't PS3 Online Demand that is down, it is the Demand verses Supply Ratio. People know that they can't get it online, and so it appears as if the demand has dropped, however, it has only dropped when compared to the extreme difference in the supply line of all the consoles.
who every labeled this as a demand line, didn't do to well in the basics of economics. you can only compare demand of separate products if the supply lines are ...
after looking closely at all of the game shots, i have to agree with all but one pic. I couldn't really tell any improvement except on the gameplay pic of Madden. Maybe it was just the lighting in the game or something. but the players actually looked (in my opinion) quite a bit better and more realistic than the 360. but i can't say that is the absolute truth without seeing them both in person before me.
“The winner in the next-generation console battle is likely to be the Xbox 360, which is the leader in North America, the world’s biggest market.”
hahaha this cracks me up. of course Xbox 360 is the leader in North America. cause the other 2 consoles are not out yet
they only cost $15 if you buy them at a store. get them online
if they did ship with the controllers, then everyone would be complaining that they had up to 7 cables laying around that they weren't using because all of their controllers were charged. Now i don't know about you, but i don't really have a place to store some 4 or 5 or 6 or even 7 cables. one i can take care of. i will just have to make sure that when i am done playing for a bit, to alway plug one in to rechar...
"uninformed about the console and what its capable of, or b) too blinded by fanboism or corporate loyalty to care"
I have a problem with you making this statement. I am not uninformed about the console. and i'm not blinded by fanboyism.
just because you don't think it is worth it, doesn't mean that it isn't worth it for me. I happen to have a tv that will play the correct resolutions and i am a fan of my 360 (now that GoW is out)
so do...
yep, actually a great marketing strategy. perhaps one of the greatest of electronic history.
with the greatest being MS and the Y2K scare
However, if the cause of the hard drive corruption is a massive power spike or sudden loss of power. then the USB Drive could very well be affected aswell, and actually where i work, we have more problems with our USB drives that we use as backups going bad because of a sudden power loss than we do of our internal hard drive failing
so if it is more susceptible to this situation, it doesn't make for a very good back up method for long term
the purpose of a USB exte...
no, i did get that wrong, it is the tv that upscales the image to 1080i. it can't change the resolution of the screen
atleast in the USA all tv's must be able to view both 720p and 1080i to have the HDTV logo on the tv, atleast as of 2005. it just must upscale or downscale the image to the native relosolution
what are you guys talking about? they must be older hdtv's cause between a friend and i, we both have hdtv's mine is a 720p LCD, and his is a CRT 1080i. and we are able to view both resolutions on both tv's.
from what i was aware of was that all HDTV's supported both, just one was native (hence giving the best picture) and then the tv's themselves actually either upscaled or Downscaled to the other format if needed.
I thought maybe i was confused after readi...
Great, so we will be able to download HD movies and such. However this does not allow for backup. there still has to be a media format available that is quick and easy for backup purposes. because if there is a glitch that causes corruption in your hard drive (hard drives malfunction all the time) people are not going to want to have to re-download all of their content. well, atleast people like myself you do regular backups of my PC already. i would love to be able to do the same for my...
it isn't a gaming device and it cost too much because they said it is running OS X. so it has so many possibilities for business professionals. my office is already planning on ordering 4 of them for us
