Probably the same people who complained about the PTSD scene.
Personally, they wouldn't have wanted me making that scene, because if they thought that scene was bad (it was tame and make sense), they would've have a damned aneurysm after they saw what I would've done with it.
*sigh*
Okay, Nintendo, here's the thing.
I loved Other M. I thought it was one of the best games on the Wii, and that people need to stop bitching about it. That being said, it was clear that you wanted to do so much more WITH that game and couldn't because the Wii could only do so much.
See, the issue is not if you run out of ideas. It's if the majority of ideas you have cannot possibly fit and/or run on the system you're tr...
Oh yeah! Instead of blaming Treyarch for making the system like that to make it possible for stuff like that and calling for them to fix the problem, let's just relieve them of any responsibility, basically tell them that they don't have to fix shit, and blame those that just used the system that Treyarch gave them.
Yeah, THAT'S going to get this obvious bug fixed! /s
Ummm...what?!
Additional options are always a plus, though. I've never thought it was wise to say "oh, it's overrated" just because it isn't on Sony's console when there's a chance that it could be or they could do something about it if they chose. If you don't want it, then don't buy it if and when it does get ported.
The plot thickens!
It's like Team Meat is teasing PS3 owners to high hell. Wonder why they continue to do that to a group of gamers that will "never" get this game!
Yeah, I agree that this guy has a pretty biased view of the situation and what it COULD cause. He seems to completely (and for all intents and purposes conveniently) forget that PC piracy has been going on now for quite some time now.
Even his Geohot article messes up some of the facts. He says the last PSP game he bought was Chinatown Wars, which came out a while ago. This tells me that he didn't think that there was a PSP game worth buying since, which in turn shows one...
I doubt the mods went that far (wouldn't put it past them, but I really doubt they did).
If they did stuff like that, then I would not be here right now!
Let me correct you on one thing, and I think this is where people are probably very confused. There's a discreet difference between what "jailbreaking" is and what "hacking" is.
"Hacking", what YOU'RE thinking about, is people getting into password-protected areas to get personal information that they shouldn't be getting from private servers.
EDIT@theblind: Umm...I'm talking about how people are reacting to the s...
I completely read the headline wrong. Thought it said hacker releases a bible for your PS3.
That's what happens with no sleep at 5:30AM.
Anything really could do the same thing. Simply going onto a web site that you shouldn't can add a keylogger onto your PC or even PS3, and they wouldn't even need anything extra.
Thing is, Sony should invest in what some MMOs like WoW have done: sell a further means of securing yourself such as the WoW authenticator that has a 6-digit code that is constantly changing (look this up if you need more info on how this works).
Also, I'm not saying they...
Though I question what your TRUE motives are for wanting Sony to lose in this case, Blaze (I know your past on this site), I can agree with you. The woman is trying to be bipartisan (something most people on N4G have forgotten needs to EXIST in this discussion). I posted a blog concerning the reason why many on here are against Geohot. You should read it (I know...shameless self-promotion. So sue me).
And, umm...Sony is STILL publishing most of those games. It's not as if...
Ummm...what does that even MEAN?
Well, wouldn't you if you had it and/or were given it?
@DragonKnight: Thank you, Captain Obvious! The way I can't call anyone with my PS3, I could've figured THAT one out! -.-
Man, if THAT'S Sony's only argument, then we can start getting the mass production of CFW underway NOW!
Yeah. And if it's anything Kinect (people are sheep) or the latest PS3 third party exclusive they stole (would be proof they can't come up with any original ideas), then it would be a damn bust.
I don't care for Kinect, and them returning to the "look what game we'll now have, too" mentality would just sicken me.
The issue is not just about pirates, but that some companies tend to blame them for every little detrimental thing that the company experiences, even if the issue was never caused by piracy. This is because some fanboys seem to be able to be fed any story their favorite company has put forth, without doing even a hint of research about anything. How do you think companies have been able to ship jobs out of the US to somewhere in China? Because they have been able to get away with it because o...
The only thing I would change in this is the seizure-inducing flashes that the game uses as the field-to-battle transition effect. Other than that, it's pretty damn cool looking!
But they haven't DONE that yet! Quit acting like they already have!
Dead Space 1 didn't have as much hype, either. No one expected the game to do as well as it did.
DS2, though, IS known about because now people know the series, it's hyped, it has some PS3 exclusive stuff in it (an extra GAME), etc. So it selling better might've actually happened (it's a great game, too, btw).
Personally, I think Sony might want to rethink this whole hacker fight. It might be setting some of the general public off. Sure, WE he...
Yeah. What strikes me as odd is that this article singles out retail PC gaming, pretends that Steam doesn't even exist, and that the entirety of PC gaming will die with retail (physical media) PC gaming.
Backwards logic FTL!
@distorted_reality: More like someone said something about a bandwagon and the guy asked "for what?"
