@scary: I can handle getting a justified and legitimate downvote, what I cant handle are those people on this site that are blinded by their immaturity and fanboyism and downvote anything that hurts their silly little feelings.
how'd i know everyone would downvote this. Please, for all you down voters, tell me what is so mind-blowing about the gameplay and content of this game that it deserves a 9/10 or 10/10?
This game is pretty good, but its not a 9/10. Lets be real here, 9/10 and 10/10 scores are reserved for the best of the best - those games that are as innovative as they are elite in their gameplay, content, and production value.
DC possess elite visuals, but when you boil it down, the gameplay is pretty limited in scope. Im sure I'll get downvoted, but its the truth imo. Id give this game an 6/10 at launch, and an 8/10 now.
BF4 is far and away a better online shooter than COD.
boobies.
honest question, how come microsoft has been able to handle these attacks so much more effectively than sony? I mean Xbox had sporadic connectivity on xmas eve and xmas morning, but its long since been restored. PSN has been full on dead in the water since xmas eve, with little to no exceptions. It just seems like their infrastructure is much more vulnerable.
I havnt been able to sign in to PSN since Xmas Eve day.
lol septic. know what u mean.
wouldn't happen, the console wouldn't have enough muscle to pull off DC level graphics in an open world.
the graphics are the best thing about this game in my opinion. At first the racing is pretty intense, aided by the fact that the graphics are so realistic. There's also a great sense of speed - especially for a 30 fps game. Engine audio is excellent too, as is the score. Truly not a bad game, but certainly not worthy of all the praise its been receiving post weather patch.
After one gets used to the graphics, things start to become a bit stale. The game slowly loses ...
I agree heman, these incessant dc graphics articles are becoming obnoxious. Sure the game has good graphics, but for the love of god, they're not mind blowingly insane.
Dualshockers needs to chill a bit. Play the game more, talk about it less.
Good to hear, I still cant get on PSN as of right now.
Im not opposed to them, but lets face it, they don't have the same resources as AAA studios.
Indie games are typically smaller in scale and ambition, and in my opinion, generally suck.
@Twiggy: Kinda sounds like excuses to me. The game was flat out broken when it launched. Whether the game had buggy code - which it did - or the servers were overloaded - hard to believe - none of the online features worked. I don't necessarily care why or how. All I know is Evo had a year long delay, and upon launch, its online modes were still dead on arrival; not sporadic or "sorta" working, but dead - that's a broken game.
And yes, I do own the gam...
did you just say "DC wasn't that broken to begin with." Sigh, its statements like these that I just don't understand. The game was a MESS at launch, and for a solid month thereafter.
Even today, almost 3 months later, there's still no + version, and I've gotten quite a few blue error screens while playing.
Solid game, don't get me wrong, but there's absolutely no objectivity on this site.
serious question about this website and its user base:
Why do none of you acknowledge facts? Seriously. If the slightest thing is said about Sony or a PS4 game, no matter how legitimate or constructive the criticism may be, and no matter how many facts may back up that criticism, its like people on this website refuse to believe it and their knee-jerk reaction is to down vote.
I mean, what is the average age of a member on this site? 7, maybe 8? Its eit...
yeah, "Driveclub is soooo stable, like the most stable game I've ever played this generation. It never has errors."
I've been trying to tell people that this game is not particularly stable, and that I've gotten several blue screen errors since owning it a few weeks ago.
That's fine, don't believe me, but here's some proof:

I cant beleive how hard some people are trying to make DC relevant by focusing solely on its graphics.
Lets face it, it has not - and will not - live up to the pre-release hype it generated. Solid game, but not a 10/10, or even a 9/10.
Its a good game, in 8/10ish territory.
#amiga-man: not true, I own the game and Ive gotten the blue-error screen at least 6-7x since I started playing it; started playing it about 2 weeks ago.
EDIT: Stop with the down voting bs. I'm a grown ass man and when I say I've gotten the blue error screen, I got the F'N BLUE ERROR SCREEN. I dont have some bs agenda to make people like or dislike a game - I couldn't care less about that crap.
I just dont like such overblown non-se...
I like DC and all, its a solid game, but Im getting pretty tired of reading all these fluff articles about how great the graphics are. I understand people are trying to compensate for the game's early struggles by incessantly bringing up its graphics, but lets be honest, they're not "THAT" good.
I own the game, and yes, while they are good, they are not MIND-BLOWING. Lets put it this way, they're not so good that they completely make up for the botc...
@monkey: They fight with you alright, perhaps a little too much considering there's no dynamic car damage. For this reason, much of the online races are frustrating as all hell because people play bumper cars, smashing you into other cars and walls repeatedly to get an advantage. This really hurts the online experience in my opinion.
Not to mention the drifting in this game just doesn't feel quite right...
