Btw, anyone use Gamefly here? Was thinking of giving them a second chance. Last time I tried them - probably 3-4 years ago - they sucked. I would ship them a game back and I'd check my account on their site, it would say "preparing your next shipment" for like 1-1.5 weeks before they would bother sending me anything else. Even worse, when they did send something it was never the game on top of my queue, but rather some game buried near the bottom of my list that I had little...
@dark: I HIGHLY doubt this game is gonna take me 60 hrs to beat, but if so that'd be awesome. And while NG+ modes are appreciated, I find that they don't typically add enough content to warrant multiple play throughs. We'll see.
yeah, looks decent. Not sure if there will be much if any replay value though. Might be a 15-20 hr one and done campaign...
wtf is wrong with people?
i definitely appreciate the fact that Driveclub and its developers are trying to make-up for their botched launch with new and free content. Keep improving the game guys, its gotten light years better since launch.
ive said it before and ill say it again, this is a bs piece of crap remake cash grab by a starving company desperately trying to relive its glory days. I mean, all they're doing is slapping 1080p resolution on an ancient game, with some minor texture improvements to the main characters. Given the fact that this game is still utilizing the pre-rendered backgrounds from the original, there's no reason why this piece of crap shouldn't run at 60FPS.
6gb of ram is nothin', but requiring an i7 3.4ghz quad core cpu is pretty intensive.
Im on my 3rd PS4 controller in 13 months. Both times, my trigger buttons broke...
this article does raise some valid points. The controller does have a questionable battery, PSN is touch and go, The UI is pretty generic and hasn't evolved much over time, and Sony fanboys are pretty aggressive and annoying - then again, fanboys in general are pretty annoying.
Yeah, this review is pretty spot on. The game is not ground breaking like some have said, but it pretty damn good.
I heard it was going to be 60fps on consoles.
@weazle: Do you have to wait for that code to come in the mail too? Or is it immediate?
no, i would not support anyone destroying a perfectly good gaming console. That thing could give someone a lot of joy...
DC may have slightly better detail, that being said, Project Cars certainly looks more fluid. The audio is also incredible...damn
@oshino: Really dude? That's what you're offering? Wow, your input is so insightful! Give me a break.
How would you know I struggle to be "even mediocre at best"? Or that I'm just a casual racer? I've never seen so many asinine assumptions. Just because the drifting in this game is problematic doesn't mean I cant beat any of your time trials...
Now go to some other message board and preach to those idiots about how great ...
I agree on every point you just made here U4one. Offering any constructive criticism for this game causes an uproar on N4g and people lose their effing minds.
@infected: I dont know, Im glad its easy for you. Im pretty good at the game, I can get 3 stars in any race or time trial mode, but I have a hell of a time trying to get 3 stars drifting. I dont mind the drifting being tough or challenging, but it seems sorta unpredictably difficult at times.
I 100% agree, the drafting seems fine to me, the drifting does not.
this is the dumbest, most irresponsible headline i've ever read in gaming journalism...what a joke.
safe to say you all like gamefly then? lol
