Going by your logic, since Infamous you played Titanfall, Sunset & Forza. Not exactly mind blowing numbers in terms of exclusives either. You obviously aren't Sonys target market if AAA games like Bloodborne & indies like No Mans Sky don't interest you, but that doesn't mean Sony fans are mindless drones that will claim victory no matter what, it just means that they happen to like all of those titles you disregard. I'm sure all conferences will have some great moments...
Did you play the first game? Isn't it bookended by pre rendered cgi scenes? I don't really remember a single in engine cut scene, only character dialogue moving the story & the cgi stuff. Regardless of platform I'd say they'll stick w/ that design decision moving forward...we've already seen 2 cgi scenes and I'm willing to bet those will be in the game as well. The marketing for the original reboot had the opening cutscene just like it ended up in the final game, s...
Didn't "the coalition" (stupid name) come out and say that they weren't working on the remaster? If they are involved on this tease it'd have to be referring to the new one wouldn't it?
It's funny to me how VR was a non essential dead in the water platform when it was Morpheus & PS4, but now it's the super awesome future of gaming now that Oculus is going to Xbox. I personally think VR will be a platform with legs if it rolls out with the right software. I don't think it'll hit that huge potential this gen, but early adopters & people impressed by the early gimmick of VR will be enough to keep it afloat until it hits it's stride. I know I'm pe...
...it'd be more likely to say Sony must have a lot to show, otherwise they would've saved the Hellblade & Ratchet & Clank footage for the show. Sounds to me like even marquee titles like R&C aren't big enough to warrant full reveals on their show, a show that is longer than MIcrosofts show by a decent bit. Why would they mark out more time than MS if they had nothing at all to show? Seems to me like the Halo stuff is from GI which has nothing to do with E3, so chances ...
I'm sure it is in engine assets, but a big consideration to take is Game Informer & most magazines reputation for bull shots. All of the magazines will tell you that they digitally manipulate the image to make it look as good as possible for publication, so ultimately I take anything I see in a magazine with a huge pinch of salt. I'm waiting for the proper reveal, and then the inevitable difference in the final product that we've seen out of most marquee AAA titles this gen
I think the Minecraft title is pointless, same for Borderlands really. I wish Telltale would trim these franchises back to focus on TWD & their new Marvel game. Why does anyone need Telltales version of a non existent Minecraft story? Also, why does anyone need Telltales version of Borderlands when it just dilutes the brand and players can play the actual Borderland titles? I'm sure they won't necessarily be bad or anything, just kinda pointless in my eyes. Now that Marvel title i...
I could see all of that aside from a second season of D4 (the first didn't do too well so if there is a sequel it might be quite a way off) & anything on Phantom Dust (the devs just got canned recently & presumably all of their work along with them, too quick of a turnaround, this game would be lucky to hit 2016 but more likely 2017 or later if at all)
Also, you must not have clicked on to the next 2 pages, because they outline all of the stuff you mentioned plus...
Isn't the unannounced title they're referring to supposed to be exactly that? We already know about Star Fox.
They also don't realize that the term is relative. Is it sparse in comparison to the competition or is it sparse in comparison to Sonys history? A sparse year for Sony is still typically head & shoulders above any other console out there really, the statistics don't lie. Weird how the media & gamers can be so gullible claiming a drought when games are spaced out rather than shoved in all at once in the end of the year. It's like consoles get put up in the attic with the mo...
You may change your tune regarding Sonys delays if they were pushing out broken titles. First party titles are the ones with the most potential to inspire awe, and as such they need to be given sufficient time. Granted marketing these days suck because they are putting concrete titles on games w/ nebulous time frames, but that's the case w/ every dev & console really. Better for Sony to allow their studios the opportunity to fine tune their titles than for them to push games out in o...
Calling out differing opinions in one sentence & directly saying that you won't "lower your standards" to play a game from a different variety. Hypocrisy at its finest ladies & gentlemen.
I would absolutely love a new Rayman composed entirely of the music level idea from Legends. Might be costly to license tunes but even if they are all originals, that'd be a music game I could get behind.
They may continue the series, but the writing is on the wall that UC4 will be Nathan Drakes last.
The closest thing we will get to Rage 2 will be the new Mad Max title. After the success of Fury Road though' I'd love it if Bethesda revisited their desert wasteland. Really thought that game got a bad rap, such a cool game in my experience.
I agree...the only way I can see these remasters being justified is if they are attempting to trim the unruly continuity of RE by eliminating the later games from the canon & having the next proper sequel continue on from these earlier stories. RE just went in too many directions, new strains, new characters w/ crazier & crazier skill sets, pointless co op inclusions. The story is basically a joke at this point, if they are serious about taking it back to its survival horror roots, i...
I've never tried them but this game would be the best place to start. One question though, are you limited to taking pictures w/ the standard camera angle or are you able to move the camera anywhere in the environment?
Yup. I'm pretty sure that. WB is going to push movie tie ins w/ the new DC films on the horizon. Montreal already heavily seeded Suicide Squad so that's a pretty safe bet for them next year, then Rocksteady have a firm focus on team & dual play for Arkham Kngith which would suggest a Justice League team title to tie in w/ that movies first or second installment. Writings on the wall pretty much. I'm guessing there will be a fair few JL Easter eggs in Arkham Knight, that'll...
So basically blow their whole portfolio at E3 & save nothing for Gamescom? You also forgot to throw the "Hololens game" signifier on those last 3. I can see the first two potentially happening but MS' E3 will most likely focus in on games already announced like QB, Scalebound & Halo 5. Probably some talk about Windows 10 & MAYBE a short HoloLens showcase.
I'm w/ Jason, Id games haven't seen downgrades, Rage looked as great on consoles as it did in early previews. Publishers don't have anything to do w/ the quality of a title, only purse strings. It's up to devs to use those funds to create great experiences, and there are a select few who do exactly that. Considering Id hasn't been guilty of downgrades, they get the benefit of the doubt....now if this was developed by CDPR then you'd have a case to make.
