A disc and controller in your house still wipes streaming video from thousands of miles away and will for at least 5 to 10 years until the tech is built up for it around the world and the bandwith caps are lifted. Because they are trying to make money quickly from there investment. I don't believe Sony can afford to buy into properites and not get a quick return right now. I'm sure this will happen in some form and is the reason Sony has chased Gaikai for months.
The failure rate was high on ps3 fats as the ylod was getting bigger. They did move to the lim quickly because of this. I worked in a gameing for 3 years during ps3s launch and although ps3s were not dying as much as 360s from launch the ps3 di have several issues. The 360 slim and ps3 slim seem to be much moe reliale but the ps3 slim took features away while the 360 added them.
I live about 3 to 4 hours from there depending on traffic but this is not something I want to do since it may ruin my experience with the game before it comes out. I'm looking forward to this game and want to play it in all of its entirety. Plus I already have a good job.

Sony was forced to show ther hand since they are buying there way into cloud gaming. Cloud gaming will not be a viable option for the masses for upto 10 years. This is a bold move for a strapped company. Its common knowledge that both gaikai and sony are in trouble with their finances. I don't think ms needs to rush into anything. Ms will just make there own version of cloud gaming through live if it takes off. They don't have to buy companies to have it if you can create your own. The devs made the decision to use kinect. I always thought it was a hybrid of both until it released for some reason. I still think even with solid controls the game is not that good. They should have included use for the people who spent 150 on the original pad to play the first one.
Game looks decent but I'm glad naughty dog is resting uncharted as I don't think another one real soon will go over as well as it will start to get redundant and old. This is true with any game and I'm looking at you as well gears.
