I think the ps3 still sucks for me just not as much as it did at launch.
The problem with the ps3 vs the ps2 is its overly complicated to use for the causal or light gamer where the ps2 you could put a disc in and play. With ps3 you have to have large harddrives for monthly firmware updates, you have to mandantory install most all he games and the xmb is a mess to use with each feature buried in menu after sub menus. It works well on the 360 and according to n4g the ps3 crowd hates it because of recycled textures and on and on then why not just make it a 360 exclusive since obviously treyarch and infinity can't code for the ps3 as many devs have had issues in the past present and I'm sure future.

I've had 25 ps3s die of ylod........lah lah lah...I actually had two die one of ylod and one a faulty bluray drive. I had one 360 die but ms sent me a new slim to replace it for free while sony wanted over 100.00 to fix and it was only 13 months old. I had a fat ps3 60gig die with ylod as well. The fat models had quite a high failure rate and why sony moved to a new model with less on it quickly. I can't think of anything much worse then people who got the second job like son told them too just to have it die right outside of warranty and still charged to fix it like it was there fault.
