I would buy a PS3 if I can play backed up games on them. I recently did this to my PSP and love the fact that I can put the game into my memory stick and download games as well.. So if there's a way we can play backed up games from the PS3 hard drive I would be all over it. Then I can just rent games or borrow games from friends and put in my hard drive.

First i'm too old for Little Big Planet but there are many Elemetary school GIRLS that would love it as much as they love Hanna Montana.. As for Home if I wanted it I would've joined Second life which Home is an obvious rip off just like Avatars was with Miis. So i'm really not missing out on too much by not having a PS3. Attach rate doesn't have nothing to do with which console comes out first.. The attach rate just tells you which consoles gamers are buying. When the PS3 first launched it was mostly bought by movie buffs who wanted a cheap blu ray player that's why they only had a 1-2 game attach rate. Since the price drop and a lot more games are coming more gamers are actually buying the PS3.
When does the actualy NPD numbers come out? Even though summer months don't really mean much because of the slow sales compared to the holiday season..

And what you apparently dont know is out of those 10 million PSN users how many of them have multiple IDs per console? I know people who have over 3+ PSN ID per PS3 console. So that number is pretty skewed consider there's not limit on how many IDs you can have per PS3.

takes a week after sending it in. So i would say at the most 2 weeks. 3 days for the box to get there and 7 business days after that according to an earlier article posted here. So jump in.. I do understand where your coming from though one of the reasons I didn't buy a PS2 was because of DVD laser problems they were having.. I didn't hesistate to get a 360 after M$ put on the 3 year RROD cover on it..

Very simple.. Gives them less ammo to use in the "console flame wars".. With FF13 coming to the 360 why would anybody need to buy a PS3? Unless you want blu ray or enjoy an online service that's unreliable and complicated to use but free.. You showed how much you lacked in intelligence if you think that's alot for Japan. Lets do the math here 10,000 units x 52 weeks a year = 520,000 x 5 years (typical console life)= 2.6 million units. Your really think Sony would be happy at just selling 2.6 million units in Japan when they have sold 40 plus million units with the PS2 in Japan alone? 10,000 units a week is not going to cut...
I think sony right now is really more focused on catching up with the 360 in America and I dont blame them because this is the biggest MARKET in the world. Plus they know the 360 is pretty much dead in Japan but they didn't take the Wii into consideration. But then again nobody did. I don't consider the Wii as in the same class as the PS3 or the 360 but for every Wii sold is a lost sale for both MS and Sony.
You guys are correct about Sony losing its marketing touch in games.. Doesn't really suprise me when last generation they didn't have to do any marketing. Sony needs to step up and shake off the rust with their marketing..

Can't wait to be doing that to some of my friends online! I had over 10+ of my real friends playing the first one. There were times we were all online and some had to be left out. That was some fun stuff..
The game is looksbeautiful even with that crappy quality of the vidz. Best graphics any game on any console out right now!! Can't wait to get my hands on this..
