I agree. There are still other great characters in the Marvel universe. Daredevil, Black Panther Punisher, Spawn, Blade, to name a few. And all of them have the potential to have a great game. In the hands of the right developer.
If your are comparing sales of consoles (while Xbox is making progress this gen so far) it won't outsell PS. However, since mobile gaming is bigger in Japan than console gaming MS can gain some more momentum with Xcloud and Gamepass on devices.

I mentioned some time ago that MS needed to grab a marvel super like Wolverine or Spawn. An insomniac Wolverine game is definitely in good hands.

The numbers that MS is looking for is player engagement on Gamepass and how may more people are subscribing and playing the games. As long as subscribers are going up MS is good.
Developers have already got their money from MS and are banking it. Additional sales are just a plus for them
