PS4 is the best console this generation. With Switch being the best (well only) Hybrid, 3DS being the best handheld, PC being the best overall, and Xbox being the best doorstop.
Actually releasing it.
I don't think it looks that bad honestly. I guess all we can do is wait and see. Konami still owns the IP so the idea that they should kill it off because they had bad blood with Kojima is a little much.
I love Metal Gear as much as anyone else, but we can't pretend like the series hasn't had missteps or spin offs. Metal Gear Portable Ops, Metal Gear Touch, and Metal Gear Acid are to name a few. The Fox engine still looks impressive and while i'm not 100% h...
"Dominate" seems like too much of a big word to use, maybe in the console space, but in general compared to handhelds, and even PC gaming it's mostly still seen as just a console.
That said I'm loving my PS4 because of "Everybody's Golf" and i can't hate on Sony for making (most) of the right moves this year, they've established themselves as the go to console this generation if you want exclusives and multiplatform games.

Word like "Mature" seem silly to me, most grown "mature" gamers are the ones clamoring for Pokemon and Mario while the "Immature" gamers are the ones who drool over Call of Duty and the next bloody grey shoot em up. I feel like Nintendo has been associated with kiddy games, by insecure fanboys who base their identity off the games they play vs just playing what you want cause it's fun/enjoyable.
Odyssey, Zelda, and Splatoon take more skill...
It's okay because it's Overwatch. /s
Honestly, I thought his list was going to be half baked, but I agree. I know this game took Hyrule and just made it wide open and given how open world is the trend at the moment I get it, but man did it disappoint in the story bits, the bits that were there were really so neat that I wish there were more.
I had this feeling like all the most interesting things in the world happened 100 years before the game takes place. I wanted to see how Ganon became Calimity Ganon, I wan...
@Notachance, honestly, for me it's an 8 or a 7, for the reason you pointed out, with the addition of the weapon breakage, and rain making you slip after long climbs. I know it's Zelda, but as a long time Zelda fan it took a lot of what I like about Zelda and scrapped it, and added a lot of other things that didn't work all that well.
Like the open world is indeed impressive, but i would've liked a still living Hyrule, the game makes me feel like all of the m...
So this is the power of Xbox.
Nintendo is back with a vengeance, here's to hoping the next switch iteration is a bit more powerful.
Yet somehow this was voted as GOTY?
Personally, I think the game was fine on normal difficulty, but I understand there are people who probably can't handle the scares for personal reasons, maybe past trauma, heart conditions, etc. so it's cool that there's options for people who want to just enjoy the good story without having to watch someone play it on youtube or something.
Options are never a bad thing.
I respectfully disagree, there's a lot of games out there that have no combat or challenge but are still worthwhile experiences, Look at the Walking Dead games, it's mostly QTE with no lose state other than just starting over but still worth experiencing as a game. I don't think there's ever really any "danger" in games, you lose and you just start before you died or respawn.
Not to mention tons of puzzle games out there also exist. Games are meant...
I mostly agree with this list, although I don't care for Destiny, and the 2nd half of Wolfenstien kinda got too goofy for me, I still believe Divinity Original Sin 2 is one of the best games ever made, and one of the few games that has done "Choices matter" correctly.
I don't want Xenoblade to become the next Final Fantasy, I don't even think Final Fantasy knows what it is anymore, the series started out on a simple but good story and built from there, now with FFXV you have to watch a movie ahead of time to get most of it, and even what they give you isn't much to care for.
FFXIV is pretty good story wise from what i've heard, but it's an paid mmo so a lot of people may not experience it. I think we shouldn't try...
@kevnb I was with you until you brought up the GPU part, Xbox one X is powerful, bust even a GPU's from a couple years back can run games smoother than the Xbox one X.
Honestly, Nier and Nioh are more action games than RPG's
I think the issue is that they choose the wrong people for the job. Look at Pixar and what they did with Wreck it Ralph they respect the source material (gaming as a whole) and built upon it and didn't compromise by making some goofy lame story.
Same with Lego Batman movie, it's based off the games, and toys, but they respected the source material and made it better.
I think we should if it makes sense. If a celeb has an opinion that makes sense, regardless of their status a sensible fact is a sensible fact.
Same with gaming imo. If they shown they have some skill or even actual genuine interest in gaming we should respect that. Gaming in itself is meant to be accepting to all really.
Do you have a source to back up that claim?
