Having said that, if Halo 3 can get one, this game definitely deserves one as well, since games are supposed to be rated on attributes, not hype.
The PS3's 80gb has been selling well, and it just received a price drop in Japan as well.
It nearly tied the Wii. Price drops sell consoles ONLY if there is demand for the console. Obviously there is demand for the PS3.
Also, since PES comes out soon the sales will probably rise again next week
IT would catch the PS2 in over 18 years. Sales for any console right now doesnt even matter. Realistically the PS3 can catch and pass the XBOX360 next year, but all consoles are selling slowly, except the Wii.
When more ppl have HDTV's, or one console averages 20million a year, then you can say a console is a success or failure.

PES2008, then the games library will be full of games like Assassins Creed, COD4, Ratchet/Uncharted. When Europeans have a choice they choose anything thats not American.

thats 17 million a year. At this point its almost as if it never got started. It only takes one game to get the sales moving. If the PS3 catches on, the 360 falls off. If MGS4 and Killzone are hits, along with LBP, the PS3 will catch the 360 by next summer.
so who knows. they said it was possible to still come out this year. maybe all issues have been fixed
