I loved my Gameboy and Gamecube, sooooo much and I still have them too. I would love it if they brought the GBA and Gamecube games to the virtual console. That was my favorite console generation. It was when modern gaming hit its stride and still had not become bloated with over inflated budgets and an over focus on making money.

I don't understand the logic of people calling the Wii U a current gen system. Its not in the same position as the 360 and PS3, who are about to be replaced by their direct successors. The Wii U, PS4 and Xbox 720 or Infinity are the flagships for the big three and their games for the future. This means that they are the next generation systems. This applies both chronologically and features wise, because each one brings new ideas and features that did not exist in the previous generation....
I hope others in the industry see what is happening like this. EA is starting to make me regret ever buying any games from it, and now I'm really reconsidering buying any others from them again. It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth, because EA (at least the management at EA) only really cares about money, and controlling everything.
I would buy these games if they came on the Wii U. However, I'm probably in the minority of gamers that probably would not buy it if it didn't. This sucks, and I know there are more stuff going on behind scenes (If the PS3 and 360 can run these games, then something is up because the Wii U could run Crysis 3 well). But I haven't bought many games that run on this engine, so it probably won't affect me much. I'm just hoping that by the end of next year, the Wii U's fortunes are better.

I think if they improve the gamepad, it should get a higher resolution screen, better battery life, and if possible a greater range. I think with the type of connection used with the game pad, they focused on quality first over range, so I think they should be able to improve gradually over several models. I'd love to be able to reach every part of my house.
It allows more potions for game play. It can be used as a regular controller (its not as big and clunkly as most people think, and it is extremely ergonomic/comfortable), and can be used for everything from a map display, to touch controls, to Off-TV play so you can play when others use the TV or you don't have a Tv to use, or just want to watch TV as you game. It can also control your TV and Cable Box.
Some say its a good thing, some say its disappointing, but not the end of the world, some say its a catastrophe. This just proves that we really can't tell how this will turn out until the actual conferences happen, and then the aftermath. I just hope it goes well for all three, and that a third party developer (Like Ubisoft) doesn't outshine the actual console makers.
Politicians spewing anti violent video game hate, a slowly recovering economy, still popular PS3 and Xbox 360, sales of highly anticipated games falling far below their publisher's expectations, and the Wii U, PS4, and 720 will not be huge jumps visual wise compared to the PS3 and 360 (compare this to the jump from the Xbox to the Xbox 360).
I know the PS4 and XBOX 720 will probably sell at a faster rate than the Wii U for the first half year. But at that point I'm worried about the industry in general. There is not nearly the same amount of hype for ANY console outside the gaming community as there was in 2005 with the Wii, 360, and PS3. Because they are still mulling over if its coming to the Wii U. They do not want to say "no" yet to avoid negative exposure. It still might come to it, but it might not due to the low sales of Black Ops 2 (which was going to happen since the install base is much smaller than on the 360 or PS3, and most Nitnendo fans are not going to currently buy a system for Call of Duty)
Other M was not a horrible game. It was inferior to the Prime series, but it was still a decent game that added to the background of the series. I feel that the series needs to be fleshed out more before a reboot. There are plenty more worlds for Samus to explore, and I know there are more characters for Samus to interact with in this game's universe.
Probably, but in the long run, it will probably hurt more reputation wise than lawsuit wise for Gearbox and Sega. Everyone is going to remember this game and how inexcusably mediocre this game was. This was not an idea not going over well, it was the complete mishandling and then false-advertisement of a highly anticipated product.
I know the Gamecube was first(and I love that controller and will be purchasing third party adapters to use it future games), but this layout is just being used to link gamers to a control layout they are familiar with.
Except this is coming out to all consoles, not just the PS3 or Xbox 360.
I just looked at my post, I have some typos. The second "PS3" is supposed to be Xbox 720, and the second "improved graphics" after that is supposed to be "even better graphics".
It seems that many of the Indie and Japanese developers still support Nintendo, but many third party western developers are moving away. I wonder how this will turn out.
