Eh....maybe its time for a break for a couple years after black flag. Maybe like 2 years or so. Its starting to get stale. Yearly games can destroy the greatest of franchises.
Why does everything from EA make me both happy and cringe at the same time? A long awaited sequel to a fan favorite franchise! Great! Wonderful!................ It's also gonna be franchise milked like every other AAA franchise. Ohhhh!!........Not so great.
Hopefully I'm completely wrong and every one of these games will be amazing and unique. I'm really hoping it doesn't end up sinking into the over populated first person shooter quagmire.
Its weird how for every major change in online software for Nintendo and the Wii U/3ds, it gets leaked like this. But they always seem to be pretty cool leaks that show that the features are literally about to be implemented world wide. Kinda like a sneak peak from a company that tends to be so secretive that they sneak released Earthbound and announced it afterword. Literally everyone I knew irl and on the internet said "WHAT!?" when they found out. lol.
I guess that makes sense. Pikmin focuses on smaller and numerous things happening on screen. Zelda is more big picture. I think it would benefit either way it goes though. However, its not like I have a 4k tv or monitor to display them on.
I would rather not have more online games. I prefer gaming alone or with friends in the same room.
Anyone who disagrees with you must obviously be ignoring how well all the previous games in these series did. They are all, except maybe Pikmin, high selling for long periods of time games that don't lose their luster with age, and are from series that do well critically too. Plus, they all have family friendly reputations that the general public loves and stupid politicians can't scapegoat for their lack of ability to curb shooting violence.
I understand this is an opinion, but I feel you are being overly dismissive of Nintendo's first party franchises. Most of these games coming out first party for the Wii U this holiday season are from long time high selling & high profit series for Nintendo. Plus, the the Wii U is getting a couple good third party titles too. The PS4, (I'm a little unsure about what the Xbox will do) will definitely sell very well, but if Nintendo properly advertises these games the Wii U can still...
Modern Warfare again? Ugh, my interest in Call of Duty is already small, but at least Ghosts is not a straight sequel. Come up with something new! And make sure it is a brand new engine!
I hope that it ends up being a three way tie. I would want this because when ever one of the big three experiences major success with a console generation, they make major and stupid mistakes the next one out of arrogance. Enough competition between the three keeps them creative and on their toes. This is when it benefits the industry and gamers the most.
None of them seem to really click compared to the last generation's styles aesthetic wise. The Wii U is simple, logical, but not overly imaginative. The PS4 is the most creative and coolest looking, but I do admit it is a little over the top and impractical shape wise. It probably will end up redesigned down the road. The Xbox, well the xbox is shaped by what Microsoft originally intended it to be, a cable box. Boring, heavy, and functional.
.____. Great my interest in buying the game just went to zero. I guess I'll just go over to a friend's house or something if I want to play, because it doesn't seem to be worth another buy for me.
Eh, I don't care, I'm getting both. Besides if the Wii U can run games like "Crysis 3" (EA just didn't publish it, but it was running very well) and "Shadow of the Eternals", which runs on the same engine as Crysis 3, how is it gonna have problems with this game?
Only if Nintendo advertises it, well this time. Not that stupid dubstep crap that showed mostly the people playing it not the actual games. Make some creative commercial with a focus on the game. Draw some inspiration from Japanese ones you just did. Also, I hope that price drop is true because it would be in a perfect position if they advertise it right.
Eh, nooooo I'm not. I'm actually more likely to buy a 360 than an Xbox One, that's how much I dislike the Xbone. I'm probably just gonna go PS4, Wii U, PC this generation, so I can cover all my bases. Heck even most of the games exclusive to the Xbox One are only console exclusives, they are coming to PC too.
Does PC4U mean "a pc for you" or a combination of PC, PS4, and Wii U?
Either way I like it.
I'm pretty sure more is coming in the next year, and spring is actually when I am buy most of my new games, but I wish more was coming this holiday season.
It seems like non Nintendo fans like the direct, but Nintendo fans were kinda disappointed.
So far I thought Microsoft's was ok, Sony's was near perfect, and Ubisoft's was decent enough. This Nintendo Direct was both a combination on of excitement and mild disappointment for me. There were parts I loved and parts I was "meh" about, but I feel if advertised well enough to the general public these titles will all draw a lot of attention. I'm still waiting for the other two Nintendo Directs to come out before I make my decision on this E3.
I was talking about mario kart
?????? I wonder why? Indie games have been good to the Wii U recently? Maybe its a legal issue.
