I don't know why this is in the psp section since it isn't a psp news. Many articles in the psp section seem to be very short related to this console. For example, I press control+f in this article and can't find a single mention of it. This should be corrected..
Made in Halo's fashion, with scripted events along the action. Would be nice.. Of course, graphics should be better if it was released today.
Game Dev Story is my favorite on android! I learned that kairosoft also has developed this game for pc but it's in Japanese... I hope one day they make an extended version of these games.. Such beautiful games, with cute graphics from old 16 bit era and with lots of content. It's very addictive. In the other hand, concerning Game Dev, there's a game called Gamebiz 3 that is heavily detailed but you have to take a degree to learn how to play it, and there's no graphics like tho...
Nonetheless, many wouldn't mind having this game in vita, since it's probably the best NFS game out there (at least in my opinion). It only lacks the cop mode! That would had made the game just perfect. And forget the latter nfs with cops because that just looked a cheesy cartoon wannabe knock-off of a better game. But its agreeable that they could use an exclusive game, based on the success formula I mentioned, perhaps (Most Wanted + cop mode + cars and etc)
So the console platform profits are perhaps the only thing holding the pc development (since it can now surpass the old consoles in technology). Money has a lot of weight... But there's one positive thing out if this one, you don't have to buy a new pc to play it. However, repeating the same formula every year over and over again just runs the consumer's interest dry..
Back where I live we used to be good fans of Sega, but when they started to rush so many consoles and addons, ditching the 3rd party development of the previous ones, was a huge back stab for us as customers. Buying consoles and gadgets one after the other was costly, one has to admit it, pretty much fast paced for our tastes... After that I moved from saturn to psx because it simply was there, long lasting, churning out one title after the other..
For those who would like a...
Is that true? Piracy influenced 3rd party devs to ditch psp game development?
Good article. I felt the same when I first tried the beta. Later you had to go on wiki to see how blocks could be made, weapons, etc.. very interesting.
Not many games launched but they do improve their few games to the best. It should be on the list by all means. Better a perfected game than a shallow and buggy one released one after the other to engross numbers. (Enhanced Editions of The Witcher that they released for example, shows care and perfectionism)
I can't agree with putting DA2 in same basket of Origins (the latest being far superior), I'm sorry... that's just nonsense.
Bethesda and their Elder Scrolls are amazing, to simply put. Vast and rich content games with community support.
Valve and Left 4 Dead series were also amazing. A shot at a different content and gameplay that payed out well (constant threat, zombies, co-op). The other games I don't know lol, never played them.
I hope they don't make the game for core-9 intel processors alike.. that was the excuse for last game when framerates were terrible. Never got to buy the game because of it, for pc.
These guys develop and refine game after game... Must be amazing this new enhanced edition. I don't know if this game runs on my pc but it pulls major graphics for what I've seen in videos O_O
(Have to check it in "can you run it" site)
The time the game came out back many years ago brought a crazy concept with it: running over people for points with your spiked edge car, and in 3D. It was out of this world back then..
I don't have much indepth knowledge of these sequels, or battlefield, but they tend to look a lot the same, sequel after sequel. Let's hope something good comes out of this new project.
You can almost buy The Witcher (1) Enhanced Edition for that money in ebay.
There's some points I agree with the author. Overall, there's some bits of interesting reading along the article.
Game Dev Story and Gladiator Begins lol. Fine games!
I can't deny old games have their charm.. even Baldur's Gate with its old graphics seem a bit more, mature rated, and for an older audience. And now we have much better technology for that atmosphere.
Well, that's good news for the pc players.
Again, another article that has nothing to do with the psp. Why isn't this in general news?
