Actually it is, you can't put just anything on the box. If you state that it runs in X res. then it has to run in that res. or else they could open themselves up to a lawsuit.
Pretty much. But Sony would be hard pressed to lower the price of their players considering this current finical position. But why the other BR player companies don't is just beyond me. I mean how do they except to win when they have a player thats double the cost of another? Its like goes to buy gas and having one station selling it at 2$ while across the street another is selling it for 4$. Not quite the same as HD vs BR, but you get the idea.
They are not having it both ways. Now I wouldn't really call a 2:1 ratio "sh!tting all over" but BR has a what 6:1 ratio in players over HD. What that basically says is that for every 3 PS3 people get, only one person of the 3 buys a BR movie.
And no matter who wins this silly way the stand alone player will outnumber the HD/BR player buy a huge margin. So in this regard standalone are vastly more important that a console, the PS3 in this case.

I think that out of all of the movie companies I'm liking WB the best right now for both their candidness toward situations like this and their refusal to take sides in this stupid war. Thus letting the customers decide what they want.

So out of curiosity, why do the ones who claim there system looks better even care.
If you own a 360 your getting the 360 version and if you own a PS3 your getting the PS3 version.So unless your egos are so low that the only way it can be uplifted is to have a "better" game, why do you even care?

Yep, I could care less who wins as long as both of them fight to the death by lower prices. Its like the 3 gas station that are right by my apartment. The little 1 cent price wars they fight amongst themselves makes me a happy shopper.
p.s. Today I saved 8 cents per gallon when I filled up my car!

Washed up? You do realize that Toshiba bought some of the Cell manufacturer plants from Sony right? The same Sony that had to sell it to make up the cost of lowering the PS3? So if Toshiba can afford to buy a plant that Sony has to sell and by your logic Toshiba equals washed up, then what does that make Sony?
