He mentioned 1080i because for some reason people keep mentioning that the ENTRY level player doesn't support it. Which is stupid as hell since you could just buy the 200$ one if you really wanted the little "i".
Because people started to physically threaten each other. Which is so very sad for the human race if you think about it.
It think for just standalones its like a 5:1 lead in HD's favor. But as far as actual numbers go. Well the only article I found in my 2 minute search was one for HD that had sold 100k back in April in the US alone.
You made me look up who made Harry Potter. Turns out it was WB. So although you can say BR is getting little Harry its a bit off to not mention its going to both formates :)
Wish the 360 had that. I just refuse to pay for a picture I'll look at for more mere seconds a day. :(
Eep thats one large stock loss. I guess Netflix is really killing them. I know that I stopped going to Blockbuster once I found out about Netflix. But really why wouldn't you want to use an online service, if you have the capability. If you return a video the day after you receive it you can end up only paying 1$ per rental a month. This of course goes for both Netflix and Blockbuster.
I'm predicting you eating their words.
*wonders who will be right*
If you haven't noticed almost all game commercials never show actual in game footage. They usually only show CGI or cut scenes.
So I guess that while you wait twiddling your thumbs waiting for FF13 I'll be playing another great RPGish. Because lord knows that one somewhat odd 1 min scene just completely ruins a whole game.
*sigh*
Is this what gamers have become now a days? It used to be they got excite about a game no matter the console. Now some just have blind love for a box that they ignore anything else. Sad, just sad.
Except that the DVD was more or less well established as the successor to VHS. While this time around BR isn't. So its not the same as before.
In general things are always cheaper in the US/Japan/China.
Personally speaking, for me whenever they keep delaying a game for whatever reason I just start to lose interest. Its just that no matter how great you make it the continued, "opps ok just a few more months", followed by another, "oops just a few more." It just gets to the point were I go F it and I lose any and all interest for it. I'm sure this will be a great game, but if this rumor is true, then it just took another hit in my enthusiasm meter.
Heh I was kind of expecting the opposite when I first saw the headline.
In any event does it really matter? Side by side when playing both games they look so identically that I never would have been able to tell the difference had it not been for the label on the screen. And while its niffty that you can press you nose against the TV and see a difference, in the end who cares as they are both fantastic games that look great.
Are you nuts? Now this has absolutely nothing to do with BR or some formate but this movie was horrible. Emo-Spidey. A plot that went no where. Lack or any real character development.
*spoiler*
And what the hell was up with letting Sandman go? I mean he went on a frekin rampage through the city, but since he did it for his little girl that makes everything ok? Give me a break.
Anyways this was one horrible let down after parts 1 and 2 were pretty well do...
Lets see the "hicks" count for about 90% of the buying market.
And the rich comprise the rest of the 10%
Now if you were a company which would you market to?
So you commented on this without even reading the article? How do I know this, because he explicitly takes about the PS3 in 3 separate paragraphs. So umm try to actually read next time before you comment least you look like a moron. :)
You know, most people are fanboys of a system or oddly enough a formate but your the first I've see being a fanboy for or in this case against a web cite.
Thats just odd. Ohh and lay off the caps key.
I'll give you this. If you agree to realize that about 1 out of 3 PS3 owners buy BR movies, as given by the fact that BR has a 2:1 lead in terms of sales. Then I'll concede that it has 1.3 million + whatever its standalones.
Deal?
So that one day sale they did sold almost as much as BR total sales? Excluding the PS3 of course.
Anyways I predict...
30-HD is dead
7-inferior format
56-no 1080i
62-desperate
12 intelligent comments
And lastly- 20 know don't care either way.
I saw a scene in Uncharted where the guy was just standing there doing nothing. Pff what a boring as hell game. I mean all he did was stand there!
Now how stupid does that sound? Try being less fanboyish and judging a game as a whole and not for some 30 sec. clip.
P.S Uncharted looks awesome! Its like Tomb Raider but for a new generation! Can't wait to play it.
