Achievements and trophies are fun. They add to the game and often act as small missions. I could do without achievements for simply completing chapters of the story but I like the cleverly named obscure achievements that make the player go complete a task just for the hell of it.
You know a part of me kinda wishes this was real.
NBA elite says hi
way past cool!
But...but I thought nintendo was running away scared and had lost their minds?
Looks pretty amazing. The wait for this game might be longer than we would have hoped for but you can really see that they used the time efficiently. The game looks so polished and smooth.
Nice to finally get a glimpse of the wii U's capabilities.
well achievements and gamerscore kind of go hand in hand.you have a gamerscore because you complete achievements.
id agree with those except 2k is not overrated, If anything it's one of the few sports games that actually gets it right.
red read lol!
I like achievements they give games extra replay value and are basically like added missions. I think the current format is fine but I wish there were actual rewards for getting them, such as ms points or something of that nature.
Ok so lets see, in the past 17 years there have been 4 console 3d Mario games and two handheld including the sm64 remake. All of them rated in the 90's on meta critic with both Mario galaxy 1 and 2 sitting at a lofty 97.These are powerhouse games and its hilarious to me that people are saying the series is tired and milked. Maybe when you consider the sports titles and party titles but when looking at straight up 3d mario platforming, there really hasn't been that many and there has r...
It has nothing to do with the Wii u's capabilities and everything to do with Ea trying to bully Nintendo for not accepting origin.
yea the article itself isn't bashing Nintendo, however I think title is the problem. Why not say something like " Nintendo plans to back HTML 5 and indies" or "Nintendo supports HTML 5 and indies". saying it's a gamble makes it sound like they are taking a shot in the dark that could be a bad decision. It also doesn't make sense to says it's a gamble because HTML 5 is the future of web and apps.
"Yay! Some soccer player we don't really know has justified our beliefs! Sony forever!!!" Queue similar article with random celebrity praising Nintendo or Ms and you get "who the hell is this guy? what does he know? Why is this news?" gotta love the double standard.
wow those screenshots are gorgeous.
It's always easy to kick something when it's down.
It doesn't have gameplay in the traditional sense but who cares? It's engaging and completely immersive. The amount of button clicks might be less but that doesn't make it any less of a game. Not only do the players decisions effect the game but because of the deep character development and storytelling the decisions hold a lot more weight. Thus keeping the player involved and attentive at all times VS just mashing buttons and watching a cutscene. Now It doesn't mean that all ...
Very refreshing to see a game like this. Also Ellen Page is fantastic.
As long as Nintendo and Ubi stay in good graces Not having EA around won't be that big of a deal. Nintendo is now working very closely with sega and it seems like Activision will also be supporting the wii u for now as well. Wii U is also getting indie support and nintendo has multiple first party titles that will most likely be out before the end of the year. That said my guess is it won't be long before half ass EA ports begin appearing on the wii u once again.
