impressive! Game looks fast, smooth and it's great to see new level design. You can clearly see the nintendo influence(especially mario galaxy) can't wait to see more.
Why would you pre-order from a store that may not even exist by the time the console comes out?

sunshine 2, Look at this screenshot from the new 2014 mario and sonic olympics game. Delfino looks great in hd and the mario sonic games arn't even known for their graphics. I personally loved sunshine, it was very charming and had similar mechanics to mario 64 sans fludd.
At this point it would make sense to pick up a Wii U now and then wait for the ps4 to get established and the bugs are worked out to pick up one of those. The Xbox one just isn't that appealing and seams gimmicky and restrictive. Also when considering your wallet a PS4 & Wii U combo would make less of a dent.
The mainstream media has said nothing but positive things about the xbox one, while most of the negativity has come from actual gamers and gaming websites. Sure there are people who were going to take a $h!t on the xbox one no matter what but a lot of the backlash has come from fans of the xbox and people on the fence who were disappointed with what they saw and don't like where MS is going.

It's funny how much the perspective on the Wii U has changed since yesterday, at least in terms of what ive seen on this site. I hate to say it but I think people expecting mind blowing graphics leaps and bounds ahead of the end of this gen right of the bat are going to have to take a seat for now.
Never trust EA's trailers and hype. Madden 2006 still leaves a bitter taste in my mouth and the footage they showed seems to be theatrical CG footage as well. I want the games to look like that but i'll believe it when I see actual gameplay.

jokes aside, I dont think all this criticism is fair. The multimedia stuff was pretty nifty. They are creating a media based console that rolls all your entertainment into one, how is that a bad thing and why do people automatically think that games will suffer because of it?

sheesh, so many people mad about this. FIrst it's only three games for now. Most likely there will be sonic games on the ps4 and nextbox eventually. All this means however is Nintendo is going to have some special backing from Sega, which is a great thing. Sega and nintendo are a good match for each other and their partnership means that that we will hopefully get some quality titles for the Wii U. Also I just find it funny when you see people hating on the wii U for the lack of exclus...
I like the idea of being able to control sonic's speed. It's nice to see sega tackling things that actually effect the gameplay.
