Spec do matters.

Sony's Ps4 hardware was designed with love, both the Dev and Sony themselves have worked closely together to insure that the hardware specification would be powerful enough so that Dev's wouldn't be limited by what they can do.

So, being that the MS's Xbox720 was designed with out any input from Devs makes me wonder if the 720 would ever be good enough to compete with the Ps4.

@mrmancs

I believe the cg rendered on the PS4 was real because if you listen closely to the demo, you'll notice how the atmospheric background noise changes in sound as it cut back and forth during the interview.

This means there are two separate footage that was pieced together to make this demo.

So that leaves me to believe each footage were done at different times.

GameStop was forced to extended their Wii U sale because the longer the wii U stock stays in their store, the more money they lose.

Mind you Game Stop has to pay rent for every item that sits on their floor.

So I expect that extended sale to remain indefinitely until their entire stock of Wii U is sold off.

@Kos-Mos

The reason is the because the more realistic graphic looks in a game, the more the game would feel emotionally driven.

That why nvidia used robots technology as an example on one of their demo(titan GPU video that is)

Nvidia wanted to show some comparison to how people would react in similar situation when humans interact with humanoid robot that are very realistic and lifelike; closely resemble to human behavior.

Ok, UR4 on PC does look better than the console UR4 demo. But my question is, why now have Crytek decided to come out of the shadows to downplay the PS4? They could have done the same thing last GEN or the GEN before the last.

well, the reason is because console have finally caught up to the of PC's hardware.

My bet is, I believe with a little optimizations here and there its going to make Crysis cry.

4722d ago 0 agree2 disagreeView comment

Its quite obvious that Crytek just wants to be the center of attention and want PC geeks to still buy in to their whole Crysis maxed out graphics & upgrade bull Sh_t.

That said, I think this is properly the main reason why Crytek is downplaying the PS4.

Personally, I think Crytek just don't want to lose the Nerds/geek to the PS4; the ps4 graphic are going to be so good that most PC gamers won't want to tinker with hardware setting anymore to ge...

Excellent. I notice there were a lot less Jaggies on screen when using the Yebis 2 Software tool rendering.

well, Before the Wii U was ever announced most DEV were also under the same NDA and couldn't reveal anything about the Wii U hardware capabilities. But did that stop most DEV? Not really.

They kept giving us some hints by making statement like it 50% more powerful than the ps3/xbox or something else.

That said, I was expecting the MS Next box to get the same treatment. even a little info about the next box wouldn't hurt the NDA.

I'm starting to wonder how come most dev haven't said anything nice to say about the Durango DEV kit.

Mind you most DEV already have both Dev kits(MS/Sony's) don't they?

Even though MS haven't announced their Next GEN console yet, but DEv already having MS DEV kit at hand should be enough to at least give some sort of insight on how well it is to work with it.

I guess I should take this as a hint that PS4 hardware is bette...

I agree, UE4 will be widely used by most independent 3rd party Developers.

But, it's nice to know that most Dev can now finally give their own interpretation visually & gaming wise.

UE4 is a great engine but at time it can be a bit too disguisable from one game to the next.

I look forward to what all these game engine will bring this GEN.

edit: meant to say unreal engine 3

4724d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

The fact that most developer have made their own game engine this GEN means that the games themselves will have their own trademark look & feel from one game engine to the next.

I can't stress it enough how many game I've played last GEN that felt like the unreal engine no matter which DEV produced the game.

The diversity of game engine themselves will open a door way for different gaming experience which will give game players the joy and happin...

Agreed,

god of war ascension final boss fight was incredible.

I was completely blown away on how well the back ground music were in sync with the game play.

Can't wait to see what santa monica dev can do with the PS4 hardware.

E3 can't come soon enough.

This video is spot on.

The fact that Nintendo had team ninja do the last metriod game means Nintendo wanted to bring back metriod to its 2D roots.

I wouldn't be surprise if the next metriod game isn't a FPS.

So, That leave me to believe the secret retro game is a FPS but not prime.

Though, I believe the retro secret game was setup to pull gamers away from the prime series to allow Nintendo the make metriod with a new game...

NPD got it all wrong.

Hardcore gamers like to to play games that are deigned to boost a male's testosterone. And that is not limited to just having lots of muscles on screen. Anything that can be used to express the player's strength and is used in a way to helps define having more power/strength to fight one another to a death match is considered to be hardcore.

Causal games on the other hand are designed to challenge ones metal abilities, hand/body coo...

Graphical monstrosity is not the word.

I mean, MS and SONY has done wonderfully with just 512m of memory.

Man! I can't even imagine what Sony/MS can do with 8GB of GDDR5 RAM.

Huge worlds to explore, breathtaking graphics & lighting, jaw dropping end Boss fights, and hours of voice acting and BGM.

I don't know about you guys but I think the PC gamers are going to go GAGA for consoles this GEN.

All this talk about the GDDR5 latency problem the PS4 will have should be the thing of the past.

I mean, hardware technology is getting better every year.

Hardware manufacture like itel/amd have finally realized CPU don't need to have high clock speed to crunch out enormous amount of calculation. So technically, latency problem should be down to a minimum.

Not to mention, the CPU and GPU is on the same die which should also help in some w...

no one can make a decision yet until MS unveil their next gen console.

I'll have to wait and see what MS is offering first before I make my final decision as to which system I want to buy.
