No, @suckineggs, he was very clearly responding to Foxtrot. Hence the "@Foxtrot"

Thank you, Nintendo has fault for this, but so do third parties. You can't expect Wii U owners to buy Mass Effect 3 when EA had just released the Mass Effect Trilogy and conveniently skipped the Wii U. You can't expect us to spend money on crappy, watered-down ports *looks at Sniper Elite V2* of last gen games 1 to 2 years after they came out. And you can't expect a late port of a current gen game that wasn't marketed AT ALL *cough*Watch Dogs*cough* to sell when it was release...

Wrong. Both City and Origins, in my case, run horribly. Origins hard crashes my console, and City has consistent frame problems every single time I attempt to glide. Do your research before you state things as fact.

Problem is that the original wmd pitch specifically stated the intent to make a wii u version.

Yes, it is illegal. It's called fraud. And to the other commenter, in this case it is entirely on the third party for not sticking to its promises. They took wii u owners' money uh nder the assumption that they would produce a wii u vers I n of project cars, then when it came to pay up, they backed out. The only reason they haven't outright canceled it is because they would get sued to kingdom come if they did.

Really are any of us surprised? They have been avoiding talking about the wii u version for years now. Hell, we still haven't seen any footage of the wii u version. The only this wii u version hasn't been canceled is because they took people's money for the game that was originally meant to be for pc and wii u. If they don't release the game, then they could be looking at lawsuits for fraud.

Nintendo relies on backwards compatibility to keep their gaming library during the inevitable droughts. I honestly feel that they will probably not have a ppc chip on board (since it might raise the price too much) but instead will use the DeNA internet thing they are creating to tie games to your account and then use that data to determine what games you own and give you those games free on virtual console. Maybe that's a pipe dream though, but I do feel that they will eventually use the...

@shinobi

I find that hard to believe. Nintendo has said nothing about NX other than wait til 2106. So either we are getting NX holiday 2016 or it's coming in 2017. Companies need time to market new products, and releasing a console 5 months after you first announce it is a bad idea. Devs haven't even reported anything about dev kits for NX. Now, if they do a big huge presser in January detailing the NX and then release it holiday 2016 that would seem reasonable becaus...

@1nsomniac

I would argue that the lack of third party support is due mainly to the differences in architecture and sales, not power. Early in the Wii U's life it missed games that 360/ps3 got. Then, when XboxOne/PS4 came out, it still didn't get a lot of the games that both the current and last gen systems got. This is due in large part to install base, but a good amount of that is the actual architecture of the console. Wii U is power PC based, which is why it is com...

And regardless of whether or not the game is bad, as long as it's playable and fun i don't care if it looks bad or some of textures aren't amazing. What matters is that we enjoy our time with the game.

Nintendo has already said they are not dropping the system. They have also shown that they are able to support three systems at once, they did back when the GBA was transitioning into DS. I fully expect to see Nintendo create an on-par system technically and still have the Wii U be a viable product, especially since they are still announcing games for it.

Exaclty, making it more powerful would be a foolish decision, but putting it on par seems like it would be the right move. Nintendo knows they messed up with Wii U, they have said it themselves. The PS4 and Xbox One are just getting warmed up, there's several hundred games releasing from now until February of next year, Sony and Microsoft don't have any reason to replace their current consoles but Nintendo does. By releasing an on par system and not dropping the Wii U, they ensure tha...

I agree wholeheartedly. I already own Borderlands on PC, but if they announced a new Borderlands was coming to NX (or a Borderlands compilation) I would buy it in a heartbeat. That's more what I was getting at. They can't expect us to be happy with old ports, give us new stuff at the same time as everyone else, and we'll support them.

I'd buy Borderlands on NX, but I would be unhappy if that is all we get.

This shouldn't even be something they have to do. This should have been the policy from the start.

That doesn't change the fact that both EA and Ubisoft CEOs at E3 2011 walked onstage at the Nintendo presser and talked up their "unprecedented partnership". All three of the companies dropped the ball, with EA being the worst of them and all out stopping development of Wii U titles. Ubisoft at least tried, however halfhearted the attempt was.

This was sorely needed, the rage over Federation Force is just was overboard. There's a place for that and there are proper boundaries. If you don't like it, say you don't like but don't project incorrect ideas about what Nintendo is thinking just because they released a game that you don't want. If the people who are raging over this would stop and think and actually research a few things, they will find that the game is not just a random shooter and was meant to expand t...

The specific demographic that played games did not have a need for online. They are trying tho change the perception of the company in the eyes of the common gamer, and the wii u was an attempt at that. It didn't work, but it wasn't solely nintendo ' fault. They entered into agreements with EA and Ubi and EA backed out on them at the last second. Additionally, third parties decided it would be a good idea to create ports of popular last games that were inferior to the last gen ver...

The issues with their presentation were not in content, but rather the organization of said content. They should have held games like Metroid prime federation force for the treehouse and put games like fatal frame and devil's third in the presentation. If that presentation had been organized a little better, you wouldn't have seen the amount of backlash they are getting.
