@EDMIX Can you say what would have happened to the Wii U if EA hadn't jumped ship? No, you can't.
I wouldn't trust them. Especially not after they are one of the main reasons the Wii U was such a failure. Only way I trust them is if they are keeping me in the loop with constant software development updates and if I pay them to make a game for me.
That Zelda demo was a tech demo (and they said as much, repeatedly). There's nothing dishonest about any of that.
Yes, because online infrastructures at the level of XBOX LIVE existed in 1999. /s
Polygon never gives decently written reviews to Nintendo games, regardless of how good they are.
Great!! Sounds like it's gonna be really good. It's nice to see that it has a decent challenge as well. I'm looking forward to playing it here in the next few weeks.
Wow, just wow. I don't even know what to say. I don't know what's worse, the fact that you are accusing Nintendo of copying Tekken when it was the whole point of the game, or that you think game devs don't reuse textures from and assets from previous games they have made. Do you realize how much time it takes to make an entirely new stage? It is significantly easier to take a stage that you have already completed and add/subtract a few things here and there to make it differen...
Minus them initially, they still intend to include them, but until the entire thing is out, it would be pointless for them to roll out this new system to Wii U and 3DS
Both actually. The normal difficulty is GCN and Hero mode is Wii.
This is why Nintendo is amazing, and other companies can learn from this. It's basically a situation of them saying "We're sorry Zelda U got delayed, so here's a re-master to tide you over."
Because hardware and technology
Oh, I will.
So much of it is entirely unwarranted too.
I hate that I am going to have to wait an entire week before I can start playing. Why do these things always have to be released at the beginning of finals week?
Ordered!!
At least IGN and Destructoid attempt to have some kind of journalistic integrity.
Disagree entirely about IGN. Sure they have some biases (and a few of those biases *cough*Colin Moriarty*cough* are gone, but at least they act with *some* modicum of journalistic integrity. When was the last time you saw them leak info, that they did not take the time to verify? I haven't seen it in years. There is a reason they don't get the first scoop on some things, and are generally late to the party. They have protocols set in place to make sure that any story they get is verif...
I literally can't think of anyone I know who actually trusts Polygon.
I am salivating at this Special Edition. So happy that I got it on pre-order and paid off. Only two more weeks til release, but three til I can play it:(
Third parties also have to follow through on their promises. At the end of the day, the Wii U was a viable home and 3rd parties jumped ship before the ship was even a day into the voyage. At some point the trust goes both ways. Nintendo put it's trust in third parties and it burned them, I don't see them doing it again without some assurance that they won't get burned again.
