Than u are missing the point of the game, looking at the cover rather than actually read the book.
Yes it has a 'very' Japanese mechanic however that is a very small part of the actual game. Like the review said the game is actually very good. Under the what you call 'disgusting' mechanic lies an awesome very engaging card battle game with some excellent music.

The music for this game is spectacular! One of the best video game soundtracks out there today. The vocals are magnificent as well. A true gem.
There are some technical problems since it is unreal running on the PS3 which hasn't had the greatest track record.
The story is as you think it will be absolutely ridiculous but the dialogue can be hilarious at times. It is a game with a serious tone but really doesn't take itself seriously, often making fun of itself at times.
If you are a fan of Drakengard it really shed light on the previous games. Really easy as well.
The idea for the game was interesting, being a Bomberman kind of game but the execution of it was severely lacking. Felt kinda rushed the first release. Bloober should've asked for more time. It looks like this time they will get that time to polish.
Coming from the Cave guy it probably be a visual novel or a bullet hell game. Say what you will about the 360 in Japan but the system received a hell lot of SHMUPs.
If Dragon's Crown can get away with the Sorceress this should not be a problem with this. Besides its a Zelda game a beloved franchise, this is the first actual form of female sexualization in the game.
People are way too sensitive to this kind of stuff. Kinda hypocritical if you ask me. Something like actual sex in games is ok, but put big tits on an animated character its evil.
Have the Japanese version. So freaking good this game. If you like hack & slash this will satisfy you nicely.
Looks like Compile Heart has found a new franchise in the Monster Monpiece series. Those are good numbers (minus digital) for Moero Chronicle.
Hopefully the western release of Monster Monpiece will be successful enough so Moero will be released here as well. Despite the clear sexual references the actual game is really good.
If hardware is this bad, what makes Microsoft think that releasing the One over in Japan a good idea? The Wii U has the software in Japan yet they don't care, the PS4 has no software & they don't care. Console gaming is in decline in Japan for some time now & the new tax laws isn't gonna make it any better.
The very end of the intro to The Last of Us. That song during that heart wrenching scene is a powerful piece of music. Never forget that scene for the rest of my gaming life.
It looks like judging by the reviews the game is either a love it or hate it game. You either like Dynasty style games or you don't.
I for one loved the originals on the PS2. Nier was kick ass & under rated as heck. It's morbid, violent, humorous & doesn't take itself seriously despite the tone of the game.
Can't wait for the collectors edition from Squarenix. Already downloaded the Japanese voice pack so i'm good to go.
I think the reason for this is that many PS4 gamers may be taking the digital option. Alot of PS4 games are only digital.
I for one have downloaded more games than i have bought physically on the PS4. Dead Nation, FF 14, towerfall, Warframe, Outlast, etc some of the games i own digitally.
Also downloading these games are extremely fast for the PS4, some even you are able to play when it has downloaded parts of the game.
I find it so ironic that it was Phillips that Nintendo partnered with when they abandoned Sony's DVD system way back when.
Yes there are people who enjoy these types of games cause they don't take itself seriously. These may seem odd & strange to mainstream gamers but there are a lot of gamers who think these Japanese centric games are fun.
There is a reason Compile Heart keeps making games like these cause there is an audience for them. Besides Compile Heart is a small developer so huge returns aren't necessarily that important to them.
Like i said Nintendo are smart to be doing this for the Pokemon franchise cause the popularity of the series hasn't died at all. Take to account the many anime installments it will be a very long time before Pokemon becomes stale.
Big rewards like i said but the chance for risk is also very high with this business model. As long as they keep the games evolving they can do whatever they want. People love these games.

Persona 5 on top is no surprise. Strange Smash Bros is low on that list. Also good on Freedom Wars being up their with the big boys, this game i feel is gonna be epic.
Looks like the Mario Kart 8 effect is in play for the boost in sales for the Wii U. How long it will last is the real question for Nintendo. Next week should be interesting when MK8 is released.
Winning Eleven for the PS3 probably the reason it is ahead of the PS4. Infamous is a good game but like many western games not huge sellers in the land of the rising sun.
