Ya unfortunately there is STILL a lot of crap in development for the Wii because I think a lot of devs still see the Wii as an opportunity to make that quick buck. Some other news story said that over 60 Wii titles will be coming out in the 1st half of 2008 and I struggle to come up w/ 20 Wii titles at the moment that I suspect to be worth buying, which leaves 40 or so titles that may or may not be crap.
Granted, 20 good games in half a year for a console is excellent, so that...
No surprise really. The Wii caught everyone off guard, and both the DS console and its games continue to sell well consistently.
This actually touches on one of my biggest fears for this title - that the darker and forboding feel/storyline might be too much of a departure from the bright and motivating atmosphere that has defined the series thusfar. Perhaps the series is "growing up"?
This game epitomizes the term "sleeper hit."
I just think it's funny that a large portion of the public has the misconception that only kids play videogames, while a large portion of gamers have the miconception that only kids play the Wii.
The one that says "Afrika" on it.
That's the unfortunate and sad truth. It's as if the GOTY title carries with it the assumption that it is not a handheld game. I know a few publications have different categories for GOTY, one being "Handheld GOTY", and I like that idea.
That being said, GOTY is simply a title for bragging rights.
Advance Wars is an amazing franchise. This very well could be a GOTY contender.
"GOTY here folks. Haters am cry."
The end result of this is simply that sales of the Wii version of the game will be less than stellar. Team17/THQ only have themselves to blame.
I wonder if Sega is using any code from Virtua Tennis for the gameplay/physics aspect...
Looks like it could be pretty fun actually.
I just think it's funny how ppl can assume that dreamintruder's a 360 fanboy based on his/her post.
Even if the PSP were to emulate DS games, the lack of touchscreen would pose a significant problem for a lot of those games so ya, it may not be very feasible.
At $130, the DS is affordable enough to buy and not go through the hassle of trying to mess w/ emulation of its games on the PSP.
Good to see the gaming industry getting recognition on a large scale for its contribution to modern-day entertainment.
Apparently everyone else's Wii is smarter than yours.
I know some 24 year olds looking for one. Thx for the tip.
Dear Pronto Games,
Please spend the dev time and cost that you saved in the production of mediocre visuals on creating an enjoyable gameplay experience.
Thank you,

Totally agree w/ this assessment. Not too many will play it but the game is awesome.
Agreed, 3rd-party Wii games need to be advertised much more.
