I very seldom sold a Wii without a game with it..not to mention extra controllers and wii point cards.
Usually the folks that bought it without a game..bought the games 1-2 weeks prior to buying the console.
It might go down like this.
They find it anti-competitive for Sony to offer bonuses to sell BD related software or hardware.
They could also find it anti-competitive for Sony to only include the BD player in the PS3 stating it must be in there. (Microsoft use to claim the same about IE)
After the fines, Sony will probably make a PS3 that will only play BD games and no BD movies...because it lacks the BD player software now.
Wrong, they both use AACS DRM's. I can use the same crack to crack both of them. BD Plus is not even out yet and it works via a VM key/handshake. You can still copy the movie, because the BD Plus only works when the movie is in play on a BD player. This only protects against copying from one BD player to another while it plays normally on a tv.
Sony has fooled studio's because every DRM will be beaten.
I have a feeling it has to do with the players list. Secrets are good for gamers.
It might only be a 2mp, but the image quality is the same as some 3-4mp cam's.

Not really, a friend of mine is saving up for $6k Indi game.
He said doing the same on the 360 or PS3 is like buying a luxury car. $5-10k is do-able for most developers. $40-75k isn't.

It came out on PC first and then was ported to consoles and Mac later that yr.
Stores like Wal-Mart and Target currently only sell 720p/1080i HD TV's.
State side 3G is only available in bigger metropolitan areas.
Which doesn't help anyone living outside the cities or in smaller cities. So I can see why Apple held off the 3G add on until probably iPhone 2(probably will be announced at MacWorld 08' in Jan).
Word coming out of Europe is the iPhone will be 3G when it debuts there later this yr and Vodaphone and T-Mobile will be the carriers. Some say the announcement maybe coming next week.

PS3 with 3 free games = sales.
PS3 with 5 free BD movies = did I buy a BD player or a gaming console conundrum.
Keep the free BD movies with the BD players.
Keep the free games with the PS3's.

I know the SDK for the Wii is about $2k.
My developer friend is trying to buy one currently.
The only thing that stands out to me is the PS3 has better skin tone saturation then the 360 ver.
Besides that they both look the same to me.
I noticed recently hhgregg is pushing HD DVD more now.
We always have a deal going on and we only push blu ray when we get a Sony customer.
Wal-Mart recently put up stands with one side BD and the other side HD.
What's funny in some stores you see both and in other stores you only see BD or HD titles.
