You mean those 30 old games can probably emulate on a phone for free? Or the ones that are supposedly backwards compatible form your 360 library?
There's a reason these 30 games cost 30 dollars. They are old and unwanted games that the general public doesn't care about.
Microsoft may own the IP, I don't know, but they are not being developed by internal 1st Party studios. So no, they are not "true" first party games in the real sense of the word.
(It would be nice if you would provide a link to where Microsoft says they own these IP.)
Either way this is a 3rd Party developed video game. I don't care how technical you want to get with it. These are "BOUGHT" games from OUTSIDE of Microsoft.

That's the thing though, no one is saying Sony gets free exclusives. I have no idea where Phil Spencer got that from. Obviously Xbox will now start spouting that as a fact but I have yet to see one rational person here that has said that.
Sony pays for these deals. We ALL know that but the 3rd party companies are only willing to accept that payment and delay or not release an XB1 version BECAUSE of the fact that PS4 is so much more more popular with almost a 2:1 sales lea...

There has been an equal amount of backlash for timed-exclusives from Titanfall to Street Fighter V to Rise Of The Tomb Raider.
The only reason Microsoft-hate seems to be more visible is because there's a lot more PS4 owners than Xbox One owners out there so naturally there will be a similarly amount of love/hate for each platform. More PS4s sold? That means more PS4...
Yeah if money was all it took then why isn't Microsoft just buying everything and keeping it off the PS4? Why isn't the upcoming FFVII Remake a simultaneous release? Why isn't Dragon Quest coming to XB1? Persona 5? Bloodborne? Deep Down? Street Fighter V? Why is Call Of Duty DLC and beta first on PS4? Destiny.....I can keep going...

The consoles biggest problems are unfixable such as its design and specs.
At this point its just a PR campaign to try and get people to think Xbox is cool again.
I know a lot of people are also expecting Microsoft to prepare another price cut in response to Sony's likely upcoming first price drop. This bundle probably means there's no more XB1 price drops any time soon.
Also something I forgot to mention, there's a also a fairly custom Blue Forza 6 Limited Edition with 1TB coming this year at $399. There's definitely a a bit of price gouging here because of the Halo name IMO.

No, I don't feel like I'm missing out and I speak for myself and likely many others like me who likely bought a PS4 to play PS4 games. The best PS3 games are already on or coming to PS4 anyway in the form of sequels/remasters or available for rent via something like PS Now(if you never played it to begin with)
B/C is not that important. it's not like there's a lack of games to play on XB1/PS4.
I upgraded fro PS3 and sold it and all its games since I would be playing on PS4 anyway. Maybe I would have kept some PS3 games if there was BC but honestly it wouldn't have mattered much. Fast forward almost 2 years from launch and I couldn't give a crap about playing PS3 games on my PS4.

That's jus the way N4G is though. It can seem that console X has everything going or it one day then console Y seems to be all rage the next. Then fast forward a week or 2 and console X or Y is doomed again. Rinse/Repeat.

Dat Scalebound looked amazing though. That's my type of game as someone who used to love Japanese culture/anime and has moved on to stuff like Call Of Duty over the years.....a game like Scalebound by a talented Japanese dev made to appeal to a western(or dudebro call it whatever) gamer like me is always appreciated.
Hopefully MS/Platinum put a good amount of marketing push behind Scalebound though. I mean it has DRAGONS! Easy to market.
Some people see lots of Xbox articles being written but a lot less Playstation ones on days like yesterday where Microsoft made lots of announcements while Sony stayed mum and take that as some sort of "Xbox is making a comeback'. Don't get me wrong they had a decent showing yesterday but Sony has their own this December with the Playstation Experience and I'm sure this site will write the same story then :)

Hopefully they offer a plain-old PS4 with no game included for low price. Having a game like TLOU or Batman included "free" at 399 is nice but a lot of people just want a low entry point like you.
I always play with randoms online. Always enjoy myself.(when I get a good K/D rate of course)
