I actually kind of envy the CoD franchise for being pretty much the same year after year. I loved RFoM and with the massive changes hated the 2 Resistances after that, mp was shit, not even the same game. Uncharted 2 was a long time mp game for me, then UC3 changed everything, went all CoD like. So I would gladly take more of what I like rather then the studio ruin my favorite mp.
I am glad so many people in the comments are putting LBP in there, that game is amazing, both of them. They really are something you cannot find anywhere else, they are loads of fun for the casual player and have the depth to satisfy any hardcore gamer who likes to design things. I agree with most of the list though, however GoW 3 should of been on there. Uncharted 2 should be ranked higher also in my opinion, I think it is lower on a lot of lists ironically because of the Last of US lol.
Of course dedicated handhelds are selling less, lol there is a massive mobile market now. The 3ds is by no means going to die. The PSP was an anomaly, no one else has been able to touch Nintendo in the handheld market ever.
I kind of agree with you, I think we should move past graphics, and onto other things that will change the experience. Last of Us was amazing, why? Not because of the graphics, it helped, but because I could get attached to these characters, was it just the cut scenes? No, it was the in game banter, it was the subtle things that pushed the game past any other game for me, and past movies, something I have never experienced. I thought the MGS comparison video was really weird, and even probably not a smart move business wise, but from a hardcore gamers standpoint was really encouraging (lets not get into the glorified demo debate). I am glad they laid everything out saying basically, here this is how things are and this is what you can expect from each version.
Niel and Bruce are both awesome, but Amy was the face of Uncharted 2's story. I am not sure why some of you think she was the cause of the Uncharted 3 fiasco. They have previously tossed around ideas about another Jak game, and have said it is not going to happen. They feel like they have out grown Jak, and that going back to it, they would be very confined and unable to bring the game up to date without making massive changes.
They have said they are not opposed to another studio picking it up though, as long as it is a studio they trust.

I think Sony has fucked up a lot of the more subtle things on PS4, my PS3 is my main media hub over my ps4, not even close. That being said, my PC trumps both so yah, and I use the same screens for all 3. That is just me though. I think it is a good thing that they are reaching out to the devs, it is never good when someone loses their job. Uncharted 3 was a mass market money grab lol. More explosions, Bigger set pieces, CoD multiplayer... (still was a great game, jst not up to ND standards in my opinion.)
