Uh-boy. This isn't Eurogamer folks, this isn't a good sign for this game.
There are games that ARE overscored, GTAIV and Halo 3 being good examples (though I own and play both frequently). This, however is no overrated experience.

If there was ever the an easier way to get around underscoring a revolutionary game product, this is it. Rather than reviewing it for what it truly is, the critic is basically saying that MGS4 is not his type of game. Is that a reason to give it an 8/10? NO. After reading over everything available here, I'd say this is as big of a rotting terd as the Games...

After Assassin's Creed barely functioned and Haze turned out to be average but got media-flushed, they better be vague about this game. Delayed till 2009, this is a game that looks to be an early contender for guaranteed flopage!! Seriously, long delays = disaster (except for SPORE). Just ask Haze, Lair, Timeshift, etc devs. How did those games turn out?

Looks like the 360 version is doing consistently better. Shows you what happens when you just port from the PC. The PS3 (as proven by Orange Box) isn't good for that. With dedicated programming, sure, you can make Uncharted or Killzone 2. But seriously, lazy porting gets people no where with Sony's behemoth. Serves devs like this right if their games sell like poo.
Microsoft sure has been doing a lot of talking lately with MGS4 and the (finally) AAA line-up of PS3 exclusives for the second half of the year. All damage control. Maybe they should keep focusing on Ninja Floppin'

As a Final Fantasy fiend, I'm always curious when people choose FFXII over FFX when it comes to quality. Would you mind if I asked you if you if you have played both and why you chose XII?
