well, if you are being honest, it revolutionized how RPG games are played. It had the most memorable FF storyline, including a villain that has his own legion of fans across the globe. It up'd the ante for presentation and visuals and ultimately along with MGS saved the PSone and helped it become the legendary console it is today. Anyone looking at these pics calling themselves MGS fans deserve a big kick to the face and a "fakeboy" stamp on their foreheads. I'm glad that the board page here at n4g showed nothing and that you actually had to hit the link. I would never look into this stuff until I've played through the game myself!

PROS:
- Audio was fantastic. Great voice acting and cinematic feel to all sounds
- Great healing system that is more intuitive than most FPS experiences
- Solid Framerate
- Good character models
CONS:
- Textures are average
- In-game animations are quirky with several glitches
- Destructable environments feel scripted
- Enemy and Ally AI are very stupid
- Crosshair speed makes close combat a total me...
Basically it works like this: if you've hit puberty, you play 360 and/or PS3. If your testicles still get caught sucked-up into your body when there's a chilly wind outside, you play Wii....for women....I have no explaination. I'm not even going to try.

Don't even try to compare SMG to Animal Crossing in light of the competition. SMG was hyped to be the AAA, revolution for the platform genre. That game was the TRUE sequel to SM64. I've played it many times and the critics spoke true, it deserves any GOTYs it got in 08. Though I must say, please provide some proof would ya?

Agreed, FFXII's story and characters were just plain terrible. Worst 3D entry into the series.
This game is getting scored like crap but to avoid another Kane and Lynch advertisement debacle (this game is all over Gamespot), they overscore it! I think this is one of, if not THE highest scores for this game.

...for some new info. I know there is plenty of speculation that we're not seeing any new FFXIII footage/info till TGS08. But honestly, I'm hoping E3 provides something. Release date would be a true Godsend.
