I don't feel like I missed anything from Firewatch. If the whole game would've been like the first several days it would've been great, but the mystery angle just falls flat. And of course you can go walk around, and pick things up, but the story is told exclusively by Henry and Delilahs conversations so I'd disagree with your statement about doing what Delilah says. You can choose not to listen or follow Delilahs suggestion, but then the story wont progress, and in a game like...
Maybe I'm in the minority, but I didn't like Blood Dragon. I platinumed Far Cry 3 and 4, but I just couldn't get into Blood Dragon for some reason. I remember loving the over the top 80's vibe, but the colors of the game just screwed with my eyes. I for one am excited for Far Cry Primal.
They should've announced the launch date and opened up preorders this month. With so many people having spare cash because of income tax season it could've been the perfect opportunity to boost sales. That's what I was waiting for, but when they decided to take their time opening up preorders I just decided to buy a gaming PC. I'll still buy PSVR at launch, but I feel like they missed out on a golden opportunity, at least in the US.
I beat it in about 2.5 hours and I felt like I was playing the game the way they wanted me to play it....I think these reviewers need to use a watch or something when they talk about how long these gams are. Unless you never use the run button I have no idea why it would take 5 hours to beat Firewatch. Hated the game, really hated the game, but it's not like someone force me to buy it so I don't feel like I deserve a refund. Refunds should only be acceptable and granted if a developer...
Yeah I finished Firewatch in 2.5-3 hours. I agree the game was underwhelming to say the least. Most people reviewing the game are comparing it to indie films, but if it's a crap film like Firewatch who cares? I bought Unravel and I just can't believe it's this game being talked about. Unravel is AMAZING. I'd even argue it's vague narrative is better and more personable than Firewatch. Please people try out Unravel and you'll see what I'm talking about.
It only took me like 2.5-3 hours to beat it.Of course I rushed because I just wanted it to be over because I was just really disapointed in it. The ending didn't do it any favors either. Unravel is superior in every way imaginable, and I hear more people talking about this pile of crap. How does a game that runs poorly with a huge number of glitches and bugs like Firewatch deserve an 8.5?
I bought this and Unravel at the same time, and Unravel is superior in every way imaginable. Even Unravels vague narrative is better and more personable. I absolutely hated Firewatch. Technical issues aside(of which there are plenty) the story just fell flat. In a walking simulator if the story sucks then what is the point of playing? I felt the same way about Everbodys Gone to the Rapture. Also Firewatch has a horrid, rushed, unresolved ending. I literally sat there for a solid 30 seconds wit...
Seriously? So Sony has big marketing deals for 3 big IPs and that means they don't focus on exclusives anymore? GameInformer just had their list of top 50 games of 2015 and guess who had the most exclusive franchises on that list? Sony had 1 more quality game than MS. This far fetched notion that Sony doesn't care about exclusive franchises anymore is just that, far fetched. MS is doing the same thing they did with 360. They'll release quality exclusives for the first couple of ye...
I don't think that will happen. Sony "should" be able to license the tech from MS with relative ease. I see the future of consoles moving closer to PC architecture and design models, one where all consoles play the same games, but multiple companies produce their own hardware.
Piss or get off the pot Capcom.
Just looked up the games length. It should take 5-6 hours to complete and there are 5 trophies with no platinum. That sounds about right for this type of game. After I beat Unravel I'll definitely be picking this up.
Any word on how long the game is? The review doesn't say. I didn't really get into Everbodys Gone To The Rapture but I loved Ethan Carter because it's story wasn't as vague, sounds like this game has a good narrative and that what really counts in a walking simulator.
Yoshis Wooly World was awesome. I bought it for my kids, but I ended up playing it more than they did. Everyones becoming obsessed with making side scrolling platformers with characters made of yarn....lol
I already beat The Witness just trying to get that challenge room trophy for the platinum. Great game, but aside from the AMAZING art style I don't really see a $40 game.I agree about Rocket League, my personal GOTY in 2015.
Haven't we known this for at least a few days? I preordered it on PSN a couple days ago, and the download was 3gigs. It really reminds me of Limbo for some reason(way more colorful I know). I just hope it's longer because as these indie games go up in price I'd like to see that translate into game quality and length. I remember when the normal price was $10.00 max for an indie game, now we're dropping $40.00 on games like The Witness.
Sucks I have to wait until next week to try out the operators since I didn't buy the season pass, but I wasn't about to spend 30 bucks just for a week head start. Do the new operators unbalance the game? And I swear they better have fixed the Castle and KapKhan glitches. Hate running into invisible lasers and unmountable shields.
**SPOILERS** Light and it's reflections are the key to success in the desert. Always move around to change your angle.... I've only just started the Sun puzzles, but you want to group them in pairs of two that are the same color.
True, I lost my mind, but in all fairness mine was down for 2 hours, and The Witness was calling me.
Back up for me. Gotta hurry up and activate my PS4 as my primary PS4 so I can play my downloaded games when stuff like this happens.
And BTW I'm completely fine with games like Ark,DayZ, Don't Starve, and H1Z1 requiring players to write their own story, but all the choices in Firewatch, and I mean ALL of them are binary. They don't change or affect the outcome of the game at all. How is that allowing players to write their own story? It's designed to give the illusion of writing your own Henry, but at the end of the game your Delilah and your Henry are doing the same thing mine did.Not much.
