picked up a copy of Norton AV and a Dire Straits CD. Stopped at the game section to see if there was any thing I couldn't live without (nah). While I was looking around, two guys picked up Halo 3 reservation cards; then I noticed something interesting, there was only one XBox 360 Elite left on the shelves, The spots for the Core and Premium models were empty. "Hmm" sez I. I stepped around to the next aisle and checked the PS3 area; surprise, the shelf was fully stocked.

How many more times? Three? Four? I guess its better than game delay announcements.

but they are viewer awards. The voting has been open for months. Guess there just aren't enough of your kind around, huh?

I count that as a good thing.

on cable or satellite you have to pay extra for an HD receiver and extra for content.

A simple pair of rabbit ears or other antenna hooked into the TV's ATSC tuner will let you watch local network stations in HD if they are available (by now they probably are).

I wanted it for the hi def set in my bedroom. I already had a 20 gig drive and multiple wireless controllers, so it was a great buy.

Blu-Ray player on sale for $449. Sitting next to it (less than a foot away) HD dvd player, $249, with 5 free HD DVD movies and "Advanced online features".

Question: Which one does Joe Schmoe buy?
Bonus: Which one does Ms. Soccermom buy?
Double Bonus: Which one does the person who doesn't own or care about video games, or spend their time trolling gamesites buy?

without a hard drive you can't download anyway. But, frankly, if you can't afford a game console with a harddrive, maybe you shouldn't be blowing your money on video games anyway. Ya think?

Always a nice thing, regardless of console or game. Yet people rag on it. Amazing, just amazing.

Not very long ago, the Sony boys were crowing that Gears of War was only 10 or 11 or 12 (whatever it was, I never played it) hours and a complete rip off. They're vaunted Blu-Ray would give them days worth of play. Yeah, right. Now 12 hours is wunderbar.

Keep track of the posts here. Sooner or later they'll always contradict themselves. Always.

there was an article here yesterday where Target said their dropping HD DVD was bogus. In fact, with the exception of the 360 addon, they have never carried hi-def players in store. They have had, and will continue to have the Toshiba Players on their web-site. The Blu-Ray endcaps will be the first standalones in the stores.
