People are always trying to find the minor faults, and blow them up to proportions bigger then the games hype itself.
I have a feeling that if they were to suddenly succumb to the unwarranted pressure by their fans to suddenly include a female assassin for the sole sake of pleasing their fans and nothing more, we could end up seeing yet another delayed game which at this point is just ridiculous.
Also, the writers part about these outspoken individuals as being ignorant to the game based on what little details we have is correct.

Lets exercise a hypothetical for a moment. If Ubisoft DID add a female assassin, then what would that contribute to the game, anything OTHER than being able to play as a female?

I would prefer co-op specific missions separate to the SP imo.

I've played the first game twice and while the story is really good, gameplay feels slow and outdated. The latter two in the trilogy are certainly much better, so if you can manage to get through ME1, you wont be dissapointed with 2 and 3.
Or just skip the first, they retell the overview of ME1 in the beginning of ME2 anyway.
Would be cool for a Mass Effect game set in an entirely new galaxy, seperate to the Milky Way, but have allusions to their being connections to the Milky Way.

The most boring tedious game Ive ever played.
Presentation was top-notch though, very surprising. But gameplay felt like a very stripped down version of Borderlands.
Its more of his realisation that games have more potential than what they already are, and encourages the development of more narrative driven experiences in games which rival that of any other media.
Basically, he's saying he wants less crap, immature and stupid games which I'm sure is in the back of most gamers' minds considering the amount of shovelware, film-licensed games and other stuff like Ride To Hell or Duke Nukem Forever there are.
