Started the beta last night and am having a blast on PS3. A lot there beneath the surface, despite some warts. Glad to see it will have plenty of content to give it life for the few who are excited for it. This is obviously going to fly right under the radar, but I'll still have fun.
That is just bullshit. The production value is through the roof, the gameplay is still great and there is nothing fundamentally broken or wrong with the game. The demo had me skeptical, but now that I am playing it, I am finding it to be great. Maybe not the best Dead Space game, but a great game all the same. A 5 is something you give to some broken, budget title, not this. Just ridiculous.
Just wait until the PS4 and next Xbox are announced.
As long as the AI is not absurdly aggressive, overpowered and can knock you off the track uncontrollably with a mere bump like in Shift 2, then I am interested. Shift 2 is a game I try to love, but it will not let me.
Story is nothing to write home about, but it sure is a fun game.
Obviously a title made to get hits. Ridiculous indeed, but I can't disagree with the argument that the casuals have moved on from Nintendo and the appeal is not there for the core market. Which leaves Nintendo in a hard spot in the long run.
The Wii phenomenon is not there and the core is getting ready to move on to the next gen systems... with the third party support. This is just the truth. But for the record, I do think the Wii U will be a great eventual pick up for so...
@Erdrick
Then please enlighten me as to why most of the launch games have been confirmed to NOT be in 1080p and the ports both look and perform worse than their counterparts on the PS3 and 360? These are the facts, apparently you missed the news. None of the games look better or perform better than 7 year old hardware. I suggest you look for yourself at the reality beyond the initial claims.
The 360 came out in 2005. Name one game that looks and performs better on the Wii U in 2012?
I was expecting a troll article, but there is actually a valid argument here, if you take the time to read it. Essentially, the Wii was so successful because it was doing something totally new and seeing your own movements reflected on your TV was just too enticing and it caught on like wildfire with people who have to experience the latest trends. It was new and was the must own experience for the time.
Fast forward to today. The motion fad is long gone and the same casual c...
I did, but decided to hold off. After seeing the launch with hardware problems and underwhelming performing games, I'm glad I did. I have a PS3 and 360 and see no reason to buy this when the next consoles from Sony and Microsoft are on the horizon.
Funny, the Wii U is looking like Nintendo trying to react to Microsoft and Sony 7 years too late and coming up short in the process.
I was sick to death of COD, but took a chance after taking a break from it and am surprised by how good this is. The presentation has never been better, new pacing from going to the past and back to the future is extremely well done, some of the near-future weaponry is amazing and the smooth 60 FPS gameplay is a pleasure to play.
Again, I was as sick of COD as anyone, but I can't lie and say this is a bad game... because it's not. One of the best told stories? LOL, I...
I have read many reports of people getting bored to death of the early parts, and make no mistake, some gamers are a finicky bunch that want instant gratification. Especially in a holiday season packed with releases. I can see many moving on to something else before they really get a chance to see what the game has to offer. Hell, we have all bailed on games early before and later returned to them only to find out that we love it. I know I have.
You will not even see how great and how absolutely HUGE this game really is until you reach sequence 5-6. It's a shame that many are getting frustrated with how long it takes to start playing as Connor, but a big story is being set up this way and you can't appreciate it until you reach a certain point.
Let me just say that playing with Connor is more fun than than anything the series has offered so far. This game on the whole is much greater than the sum of it's...
Never thought 343 would surpass Bungie on their own creation, but it looks as if they are going to do so handily. The game looks downright amazing.
Just hope I can find one.
If I can find one, definitely.
Yes, mindless kill, die, respawn multiplayer is the only way to go! I mean, who actually wants to sit down at night in the dark and get immersed in a nice long campaign where you actually feel like your taking part in something in order to get a sense of satisfaction from reaching the conclusion? Sarcasm aside, that is what it has always been about for me and always will be. The day they stop making single player campaigns is the day I just find a new hobby.
The first half of the game is fun, but the second half is rushed mediocrity defined. Especially that Earth level, which along with the second half ruined it for me. It's really not that special of a game on the whole and damn sure is not consistent enough all the way through to be considered a truly great game. At least not for me.
The game has some jank, but it also has some depth underneath the surface, the world has a cool vibe and it is addictive as hell. Will buy.
