Very disappointed, looks like I will be skipping EA titles bar Battlefield 4.
Many games are moving in that direction, take Tom Clancy's Division. 4 player co-op with a 5th using a tablet/smartphone. That 5th player gets a birdseye view (live) of what the other 4 are doing on the ground.

I always had a problem with not being able to charge the controller while the PS3 being off.
Finally that's sorted with the 'sleep mode' (unless I'm mistaken).

Rimfro, I'd like to get X1 for games like Ryse: Son of Rome and Dead Rising 3, however I cannot afford it.
PS4 is cheaper and will have quality games. 7GB of GDDR5 is dedicated to gaming (1GB for OS) compared to the X1 with 5GB of DDR3 (3GB for OS). I don't know much about ram, I'm just going by what the articles around are saying, PS4 is more powerful.

There's no similarity between Sony using blu-ray for the PS3 and MS using Kinect for the X1. Blu-ray was a step forward in gaming, it meant more space, it meant there was no need for multiple disks, everyone remembers Final Fantasy, LA Noire etc on 360.
Kinect is just an accessory, it doesn't enhance gaming in any way. It may enhance gaming for casual games, but hardcore games (Watchdogs, Division, BF4 etc) it is pretty pointless.

I too waited, 80GB PS3; Battlefield Bad Company, accessory pack (HDMI cable, another controller etc) and soon after I got MGS4 and GTA IV.
This time, the PS4 will be mine at launch (hopefully). Haven't ordered a game yet, Watchdogs is the top of my list though.
PS: My PS3 + accessory + BF:BC cost £400 (got 3 year guarantee too), and MGS4/GTA IV cost £40 each.
I am loving what I'm reading so far. The E3 gameplay footage was awesome and this is a day one for me.
