I'm sorry, The Last of Us deserved GOTY award. GTA V was great, visually stunning and I'm still playing it now. However TLoU has been the best game I've played in a while.
Quite disappointed as others on here that it didn't win anything.
Just another example:
Samsung makes Apple's retina display for iPad. Samsung and LG make the display for Apple's Macbook, iPhone and iPod.
We all know the constant lawsuits Apple and Samsung file against each other, yet right at the heart they both need each other.
That's just how businesses operate.
When it comes to Multiplats, Watchdogs and The Division are up there at the top. I can't wait!!!!!!
I can't speak for every store globally, but in England, where I live most supermarkets and regular game stores such as Game have sold out of both X1 and PS4. Well Game hasn't strictly run out of consoles, they've just decided to sell it for £600+ (RRP £349).
Of course I can't speak for America, but I think you'd find it pretty difficult to get either PS4 or X1 any time soon.
Here's 2 links from the biggest supermarket in En...
At least he didn't run away like most boys do when their girl gets pregnant. I respect him for that.
They targeted their weaker side first (NA), dominated there and moved to EU where they dominated before however struggled a bit in UK. They dominate the UK now and will move to Asia (Japan) where they've dominated for a long time.
Very clever strategic move from Sony. Sell first from where Microsoft dominated with the 360.
And it isn't even released in Japan yet.
Sony did their homework.
£9499 = Over $15500
Usually when it's a hoax the relevant company quickly squashes it.
So I highly doubt this is a hoax as many others are as well.
2.8kg per PS4.
2.8 x 250,000 = 700,000kg = 700 tonnes
More than a ton, and it is a heck of a lot.
I don't know about today, but Tesco in West Brom (and a couple more stores) literally had like 1 or two PS4's left yesterday morning. I reckon they're gone now.
Asda were out of stock from day one.
I always say: Compare Uncharted 1 to Unchartd 2 to Uncharted 3.
Compare games like Resistance FoM to newer games like The Last of Us.
PS3's graphics got better each year, and so will the PS4.
We knew it and I don't think many people were/are surprised or even will be in the future.
I remember watching this on Friday morning haha, knowing there'd be articles about it. The BBC business presenter was trying to put Ryan on the spot, but a cool, calm response. Just like what LOL_WUT said; 'Like a BOSS'
vigilante_man is actually right.
You walk into any gaming store (even supermarkets) and the 360 logo would dominate. Local Game store have a wall fairly long just for 360, the PS3 had the opposite wall but only half. That's just one example.
However, I walked into that very same Game today and PS4 is dominating. Oh how times have changed.
What I've noticed is us Brits like to shop a lot from Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury because it's just more convenient. Do your shopping, maybe grab a PS4 while you're at it haha.
It's very simple: If you pre-ordered after August 8th (or around that time) Amazon said you wouldn't receive the PS4 on release day. You'd get it after release latest being Christmas (before Christmas Guaranteed). If you pre-ordered this month you wouldn't even get it by Christmas (I don't know if Amazon US was the same).
Therefore most people will resort to buying elsewhere. Many of my friends waited in front of Game for the midnight launch.
Hardware Lifetime Totals (US):
XOne 732,569
PS4 1,070,823
WiiU 1,579,990
It seems the order is Wii U, PS4 then X1.
However I fully expect both PS4 and X1 to sell more than the Wii U within the next year.
You pay £429 for the console, it is broken, you send it to Microsoft BUT you have to pay an extra £381 (however this WILL be refunded) for a new console.
What about the folks who can't afford another £381? They can't get a new X1? Will they need to have their console repaired rather than replaced?
I could understand if they asked for maybe £50-£100, but £381? Really?
I doubt that will happen any time soon. I really thought with this new gen, that Activision (IW in this case) would step up and really improve the game.
I guess it was just wishful thinking.
Slightly more OT: $4 for a skin? Which is for a killstreak? What? Are they serious?
