certainly will help the PS3. The gamble for them has payed off.
But will it give it the win? No. If the PS3 wins it will be a combination of things. If that victory comes 2-4 years from now is anyone going to care? I hope to be on to a new system by then.

Gears 2 has not been announced for the PC and who knows, since Gears 1 sold like total ass on the PC it might not see 2. both system's have a good lineup this year. It's just getting old to keep hearing that the 360 is done and it's used up all it's thunder, etc when just by the response the Gears 2 announcement is getting on all the gaming sites I think the 360 has plenty of gas in the tank.
Not even Cliffy B running out on stage and saying "Gears of War 2 in Novemeber ONLY ON XBOX 360" will sink into that thick droid head of yours.

Even the launch title Kameo had something like 5,000 enemies on-screen at once.
Yes, it was a tech demo but they used Gears assets and it's not hard to put 2 and 2 together that this game is going to be bigger and better than the first one.
Gears with a hundred enemies on screen at once, massive battles and sounds like destructable environments. WOOT! This game just took my #1 most wanted, sorry Killzone 2.

This might effect PSN owners more than 360 owners since they have a trial for every arcade game on Live, so I expect to be able to try before I buy anyway. I don't think I will even entertain $15 though.
when PS3 posts that it's had its 2nd 1 million seller it's A OKAY! But when it's about MS it's negative? Or when we get to hear an almost daily Europe/Other chart where the PS3 is doing better than 360 and usually by people who post negative 360 news all the time.

It won't effect the Wii because it uses it's own optical discs.. Well the 360 uses DVD9, how is that any different? I think as a game console the 360 is the clear winner and anyone looking for a game machine will look at the library of titles vs. the library of movies available for it.
