From seeing this video it really sounds like a lot of that tech from the demo they showed will be in Gears 2.
Are you people really that dense? How many times does it have to be repeated that this is not related to online multiplayer. All 360 games are Live aware, be it SP or MP and if you are connected to Live whether gold or silver(FREE!) they track what is being played.

The hottest game of 2008 right here. After watching that tech demo you know that all the updates to the UE3 engine will be in this game. It is going to be Epic's show piece for their engine.
The water effects alone are the most incredible I've seen, destructable environments and the "hordes" of locust will just make this game tip top. I love how so many are trying to downplay this game in the Gamer Zone, with nothing but an announcement and a teaser as their ammo.....

I am on a PC all day and I don't want to play games on it too. Gaming for me is a disconnect from my work day, not a reminder.
