Many people have played that train level behind closed doors and have comment on how incredible it is. COD always has some fantastic set pieces and I'm expecting the same thing here...can't wait to crank it up.

It's nice that they keep reminding everybody of yesteryear when they help to create the fps genre...people change and gaming has changed.Rage looks great and I'm sure it's will make a fine buy but FPS has changed dramatically.
Borderlands always draws comparisons and rightfully so. Borderland had decent sales and I would expect that same demographic to support this title as well so hopefully that will cover the years that it took to make this game.

I think saving money is probably the number one reason. The fact that while saving money, they are using less environment killing plastic is a much needed bonus.

Having smooth animations is critical. As was pointed out by the developers of MW3, it was critical for them to run at 60 fps and the COD engine does perfectly and offers something no other FPS is going to offer on consoles and will be equivalent to what is being offered on PC.
MW3 will once again be the peoples champ because the devs make the right decisions and don't sacrifice game play and make excuses.

They basically said the exact same thing about Bioshock 1 and how the customized the engine to work the way they wanted.
ALL devs customize whatever engine they have to work with the vision of the game...at least the good ones do.

I don't game on touch screens but I really hope the PS Vita has a great launch as I feel you really need the 2 control sticks to truly explore what can be done on a handheld device.
As for M$...they have decided to let the market dictate what will be on their line of products...at least it seems that way. 2012 will be the big reveal for M$ going forward. I guess we will have to wait and see what it is they are planning.
