I think it would be a waste of resources to make another arena style game...the marketplace has passed that style of gaming by.

It's simple really...Epics demographic IS the 360...period. They could of made the game exclusive and included a Gears of war demo along with the beta code but NOooooo, they wanted it to fail...maybe they learned a lesson but I doubt it. I would love to complain about EA but the Advertising for the game was as good as any I've ever seen. The demo sucked donkey feet btw and was in no way indicative of the fantastic game...one of my favorite this gen.

I've heard the same thing about movies for years...how are they ever going to compete. Harry Potter made 100+ million in about 3-4 days. Avatar is the highest grossing movie ever and almost had a clean sweep of all industry awards. If you build it, they will come.

There are a ton of ideas rolling around like this, the problem is the patents. Corporations like Sony, Nintendo and M$ all patent their ideas right away, even if they are not using them. This seems to be in response to the debacle that is Battlefield 3. Showing some very high spec PC trailers and trying to pawn them off as game play the majority will experience was a lie and a bad idea. Far Cry 3 guys are trying to cover there butts as well since the E3 footage was PC footage NOT that I saw anything extraordinaire or un console like. The Enemies were EXACTLY as they look in Far cry 2. :/

Sony will probably win this battle BUT will lose the war. They will pay a huge premium going forward and now that the insurance companies feel taken advantage of, it will be tough for Sony to deal with any of them. Kinda like defaulting on a payment or filing for bankruptcy protection. You can get loans and coverage but at a premium.

Kinect is a great business opportunity for any dev or pub. With 10++ million Kinects out there and that fanbase wanting something new to play...the guys with the latest " trick " can be rewarded handsomely. Why are these guys ignoring the Move with these press releases???

I like when a publisher treats it's fanbase with respect and doesn't lie about how the game will look. Thank you Activision for having integrity and honesty as the back bone of your business...it has served you well. The PC version according to all the leaked footage and even EA-Dices recently damage control trailers shows a game with a lot of problems and being 12 weeks out from launch...I don't expect it to get much better...what a mess and this footage is no doubt running on...

Many have speculated on why M$ first cancelled what was a Halo game in September, handing that convenient spot to Gears Of war 3. Then of course the whole no 360 logo at the end of the trailer. Add to that the strange logic of starting a new Halo trilogy at the end of the current gen...O_o
