It seems the gaming industry is obsessed nowadays with Cut scenes, mo-cap and post processing effects. I don't care about any of those things...sure they help, but I would prefer better game play and a story told through creative game play ideas.
Half-life,Bioshock 1, Prince of Persia,and Resident Evil 4 among others were master pieces in this respect. It's all about balance...lately, it's all about cut-scenes...O_o

The game could surprise many. Everybody knows the graphics will be there, but it's the story, weapons and everything else that is the question.
Interesting to hear about his thoughts on the different platforms. He says the 360 is very close to PC and that the PS3 is a different animal all together. I hope that doesn't mean the PS3 is going to be 540p or something. He did say it will be the same EXPEIRENCE on all platform...whatever that means???

The ability to switch back and forth from the original build to the new build is a stroke of genius and you can bet that many people who played the original will use that feature regularly.
Halo is ALWAYS a day one buy around here. It's nice to see they put a lot of effort into this. A bargain at $39.99. :)

It may not be the story you want to hear but trend watchers are always taking notes and they actually put a fair amount of weight behind them.
I think it's a mistake for Sony to launch the game at the same time as COD. There is 12 months in the year and you pick a date with in a week of the biggest entertainment release of the year...not smart.
I think Sony doesn't care...Uncharted 2 launched beside record breaker MW2 and still managed ...

What EA is saying is if the game is popular, meaning anything over a million in sales, then they will require a subscription to play...what a swell bunch of fellas these EA guys are huh...O_o

There is an elephant in the room and nobody wants to talk about it. Why are Sony's exclusives not selling??? If you want to say they are selling...fine...but the FACT of the matter, this situation must be very disconcerting for Sony.
Here they delayed a couple of what they hoped would be great selling games in LBP and So-com from 2010, leaving 2010 bare and empty in terms of exclusives and basically it's been a disaster compounded by the PSN hack that still ...

Nothing comes close to the value of Gears of war. Single Player, 4 player co-op, Horde mode with all new Beast mode and multi-player. The 320 GB 360 S Gears bundle looks great as well.
A very close second is COD MW3, the game that millions will buy day one, and lets face it, so will I...lol

I bought it on 360 and it is the game to beat this year. Great set pieces and great controls. The AI breaks from time to time and pop in is there but it never really affects game play...if anything, the AI is funny trying to run through walls...this game is a looker...

Activision has a pool of money set aside for the Infinity Ward workers who worked on MW2...how much you say, ohhh, about 84 million, yes MILLION with a " M "...it gets better. Jason and Vince a33wipes have a further 36 million just for themselves...poor guys, they are starving.

The PS4 is already done...it will look like the PS Vita...only bigger. Quad core and lots of memory with a " custom " Nvidia chip.
The next Xbox is already done and the launch of the 360 S was a trial run and it went off with out a hitch. M$ is prepared to announce and launch the console in the same year. This is why there is so many rumors around the next Xbox and Crytek, seemingly getting the inside track for middle ware.

The game was great but Epic decided that they didn't want to implement a proper multi-player component...sad, because people can fly are an incredibly talented bunch.
It should of been exclusive to the Xbox 360, where Epic has built itself a great community of gamers around the games, the biggest being Gears, that are exclusive to that ecosystem...a missed opportunity.
The demo for the game did the game no justice what so ever...I thought it was ...

The steam punk animations are of such a high quality. This is the way you finish off a trilogy.
They should re-release Gears 1 and 2 as one bundle with all the advancements made to the Unreal engine...Gears of War 3 is easily one of the best looking games ever made.
